Jaypee University, Anoopshahr Admission 2024: Eligibility, Application Process

Jaypee University offers B. Tech in 5 specializations with an intake of 330 seats. For admission into B.Tech, a candidate must have got a minimum aggregate of 60% in 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as the main subjects and one of the Chemistry/Computer Science/Informatics Practices/Multimedia & Web Technology/ Engineering Drawing/ Engineering Graphics/English.

Admission to B.Tech is done on the basis of JEE Main or on the basis of merit.

The university also offers B.Tech Lateral Entry admission for which candidate must pass in BE/B.Tech first year or B.Sc. degree or Diploma in Engineering with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks. Admission to B.Tech Lateral is done on the basis of JUAT .

• Students born on or after October 01, 1997 are eligible for admission.
• 50% of seats in B. Tech is filled through JEE Main while, the remaining 50% is done by 10+2 merit basis.
• Candidates with less than 60% aggregate in 10+2 examination can apply for B.Tech admission through JUAT examination.
• B.Sc. candidates can also apply for B. Tech lateral entry.
• The admission criteria for lateral entry is based on:
  • 60% weightage will be given for JUAT test marks.
  • 40% weightage will be given for 10th marks (Diploma holders) or 12th marks (B.Sc. holders).

Jaypee University offers B.Sc. in 5 disciplines with an intake of 165 seats, BA in 2 disciplines with an intake of 60 seats, B.Com with 30 seats and BBA with 30 seats.

The minimum eligibility for UG courses is passed in 10+2 examination with minimum 50% marks. Also, candidates with less than 50% marks in 10+2 can also apply for JUAT .

Admission to all the programs is done on the basis of merit or JUAT conducted by the university.

Key Points:

• Candidates who have secured an aggregate above 50% marks in 10+2 need not to appear in the entrance examination.
• Candidates below 50% marks in aggregate will have to appear for JUAT for admission.
• Candidates who have passed 10+2 with agriculture subjects can also apply for admission for BBA/B.Com program but marks obtained in theory will be considered.
• Candidates who have not studied the subjects in which admission is to be sought will be imposed deduction of 5% marks in the merit.
• 5% relaxation in marks is given for PwD, Wards of Ex-Armed Forces/ Services, Dependent of Freedom Fighter, Sports Personnel, students participated in NCC/Scouts/Guards or students from J&K.

Jaypee University offers Ph.D. program in four disciplines. For admission to Ph.D., candidate must have passed M.Tech or MCA program with minimum 60% marks. Admission to Ph.D. is done on the basis of GATE /NET/SLET/CSIR (JRF) or JUAT.

Note: Candidates who have finished B.Tech program and have got good grades in GATE examination can join Ph.D. through Fellowship program.
