In terms of Civil engineering, both the colleges, JUIT Solan and JUET Gunaare good colleges to learn from and for overall development. But the latter comparatively has an edge over the former.

Academics:

JUET Guna campus is sprawled in multiple folds, over more than 125 acres. The civil engineering lab at JUET GUNA is more equipped than JUIT Solan from what I have heard from many of my seniors. Due to the much bigger campus, you can use up the instruments more efficiently.

Placements:

As far as the placement is concerned, both are nearly the same. If you want to go to a non-core Job you can easily get it with good effort or else if you opt for core jobs then they conduct pool campus drives specifically at different locations.

Games & Sports: The university organizes various Indoor Games and Gymnasium facilities, large playing and recreational complex for students. The recreational facilities when completed will compare with the best facilities in any technical education.

Gymnasium: The health corner of JUET is equipped with three well-equipped Gyms mainly comprise of heavyweight and light equipment. Gyms are endowed with a home gym, eight-station Gym, all types of benches, power stepper, magnetic jogger, weight lifting kits, etc.

Ans. Yes, the university has separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. Presently, there are 20 blocks of boy's hostels having the capacity to accommodate 2360 students. The girls hostel is having the capacity to accommodate around 424 inmates with its own sporting & messing facility. The rooms are equipped with beds, mattresses, study tables, almirahs, wardrobes, lights, fans and Internet connectivity and a centralized air cooling facility. Each room is multi seated (two or three students), all facilities are provided on an individual basis.

The eligibility criteria were jee mains and 12th boards. College provides scholarships for army children and they also provide u with information about different scholarships. No application fees but there was a seat reservation fee.

1) Post Metric Scholarships for SC/ ST and OBC Students of MP

Procedure, Terms & Conditions: Madhya Pradesh

The Government of Madhya Pradesh provides different types of scholarships for eligible students. Students are required to apply for scholarships online on Govt. website thereafter submit a printout to the University Office with all supporting documents within stipulated time.

Cast Certificate issued by SDM attested photocopy.
Domicile Certificate issued by Tehsildar/SDM attested photocopy.

2) Chief Minister Meritorious Scholarship Scheme for the Students of Madhya Pradesh

Eligibility

Should be a domicile of Madhya Pradesh.
Securing up to INR 1.50 lakhs rank in all india jee mains.
Annual income of parents rs. 6 lakhs or less.
Securing minimum 70 and above % in mp board and 85 and above % in cbse board in 12th exam.

Benefits

Students eligible up to INR 1.50 lakhs or actual fee if, the fee is less than INR 1.50 lakhs for admission in private engg. Universities/ Colleges.

Conditions

Students should be clear/pass b. Tech course in four year. If, they fails to do so benefits of scheme will be discontinue.
Amount of scheme will be transferred in students account if they taking admission in private university / college
If, the students getting benefits of other scheme from central govt. Or state govt. Agencies the amount of other schemes will de deducted from the above scheme.
All candidates who will be getting benefits are to willingly return the amount of above scheme for other students in govt. Account if they wish.

3) Scholarship for Minority Category Students

Govt. of India is providing Scholarship for Minority category students and other Govt. agencies like UGC, AICTE are also providing scholarship for students.

4) Scholarship for Other State Students

Other than Madhya Pradesh other states are also providing scholarship to their students who are studying in JUET, Guna. Some of the students of Jaypee University of Engineering & Technology, Guna (JUET) belonging to UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Uttrakhand etc. have been getting scholarship from the parent state.

5) Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme

Eligibility

Should be a domicile of bihar.
Pass 12 exams from bihar or nearby states.
Pursuing course from state or central government's authorized university / college.
Age limit of candidates for degree course not more than 25 years. For a post graduate course not more than 30 years.
If the candidates quit the course during study, the scheme will be discontinue.

Benefits

Students will be eligible for education loan up to INR 4 lakhs and hostel fee if hostler for non hostler students will be eligible maintenance charges according to city.
Annual rate of interest (simple interest) for the above scheme is 4%.

Conditions

All candidates who will be getting benefits are to refund the loan amount to govt for other students after moratorium time in 60 installment if amount up to INR 2 lakhs and 84 installment if amount more than INR 2 lakhs.
