GSFC University Vadodara Admission 2024: Courses, Eligibility, Application Process

GSFC offers full-time B.Tech programs under 4 specializations in total. The course duration is 4 years. 

Following are the specializations offered in B.Tech at GSFC: 

• Chemical Engineering
• Computer Science Engineering (Data Science, AI & ML, IoT & Automation, Cyber Security)
• Mechanical Engineering (Smart Manufacturing, Robotics & Automation)
• Fire and Environment, Health, Safety

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have cleared higher secondary education with at least 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST) in theory and practice of Physics and Mathematics.
• Candidates must have secured at least 40 NTA score in JEE Main 2023. 

Selection Criteria 

• The selection of B.Tech courses at GSFC University will be provided based on NTA JEE Main 2021 merit-list. 
• Final selections will be based on merit, categories, and seat availability. 
• Counseling sessions will be conducted.

How to Apply for B.Tech?

• The candidates have to check their inter-se merit number on the website as well as with Login ID and Password provided at the time of application on the GSFC schedule.
• The admission is done through online mode as per the schedule.
• The admission will be offered on the basis of merit, category of the candidate, and availability of the seats.
• After confirming the admission through online mode, the candidate has to submit a hardcopy of the application form, all required and necessary documents and fees receipt with signature to the university within the time limit.
• No changes in the branch preference will be possible after the last date of submission of online registration to the GSFC university website.

The University offers UG Degree for B.Sc. Hons. courses as a full-time course. The duration of the course is 3 Years. 

The following are the specializations offered in B.Sc. (Hons) at GSFC:

• Chemistry
• Biotechnology
• Industrial Chemistry
• Microbiology

Eligibility Criteria

• 12th passed and scored a minimum 45% mark in aggregate of all the subjects ( 40% for ST/SC/OBC/PD/EWS)
• Students with 12th or equivalent from International Schools, affiliated to foreign education like IGSCE and IB can apply, and submit equivalence certificates of Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.

Selection Criteria

• 55% and above marks scored students get direct admission on the first cum first basis.
• From 50 to 55% marks scored students, merit list will be created on the basis of marks obtained as aggregate.
• Students scoring 45% to 50% have to sit for an entrance test conducted by the University. Merit List will b prepared on the basis of :
  •  60% weightage -12th marks
  •  40% weightage – entrance test result.

Note: GSFC also offers an integrated course of Bachelors and Masters in Science for 5 years. Students who have passed 12th with science subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Zoology, IT, or others can apply to this course with having at least secured 50% in aggregate in 12th.

The university offers a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with two different specializations. Duration of the courses is 3 years. 

Following are the specializations offered in BBA at GSFC:

• General (IT Management, HR, Marketing and Accounting and Finance)
• Business Analytics

Eligibility Criteria

• 12th passed and scored a minimum 45% mark in aggregate of all the subjects ( 40% for ST/SC/OBC/PD/EWS)
• Students with 12th or equivalent from International Schools, affiliated to foreign education like IGSCE and IB can apply, and submit equivalence certificates of Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.

Following are the specializations offered in M.Sc at GSFC:

• Chemistry 
• Biotechnology 
• Industrial Microbiology

Eligibility Criteria

• M.Sc ( Chemistry): B.Sc in Chemistry with minimum 55%
• M.Sc ( Biotechnology): B.Sc Degree with either Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Zoology, Botany, Life Science, Biological Sciences, Agricultural, Veterinary & Dairy Science. Pharmacy, Genetics, Bioinformatics, or B.Tech/BE in Biotechnology or Biomedical Engineering are eligible to apply.

Selection Process

• Merit for admission will be based on the Entrance Examination (Written Test) as conducted by GSFC University.
• Personal Interview shall be held of the candidates for securing the admission.

The University offers a Doctorate Degree for 2 courses as a part-time course. The duration of the courses is 3-4 Years. 

Following are the specializations offered in Ph.D. program at GSFC:

• Chemistry 
• Biotechnology 

Eligibility Criteria

Post-graduation with a minimum of 55% in aggregate with Chemistry or Biotechnology.

Selection Process

• Candidates who intend to take admission for Ph.D. have to apply in a prescribed format through GSFC University’s admission department. On the receipt of applications an entrance test will be conducted for the eligible candidates irrespective of number of applications received, which will be followed by an interview by a Doctoral Committee of the GSFC University.
• Scientists / Professionals with a minimum 5 Years of experience and at least one publication in refereed journal OR with a minimum 10 years of experience working in Government of India / State Government / Corporate Bodies / Laboratories may directly appear for interview subject to fulfilling minimum eligibility criteria.
