Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam University, Indore - Course & Fees Details

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam university located in Indore was established in 2016. It is a private university affiliated with the University Grant Commission (UGC). 

This university provides Ph. D course for a duration of 3 years. Applications will only be accepted from candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria, that is the candidates must pass his / her Master's Degree in the respective discipline with a minimum of 55 % marks from a recognized university. 

The mode of application is online, no offline forms will be considered. The aspirants will have to sit for the entrance examination conducted by the university for the Ph.D. course. 

The selection process is based on the performance of the candidates in the entrance examination. The admission of the candidates is based on both their performance and the seat availability in the respective departments.

AKU Indore Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria 

• The candidates must have passed the Master's Degree course in the relevant discipline with not less than 55% of marks, from a recognized university.
• The candidates must sit for the entrance examination conducted by the University for the Ph. D course.

AKU Indore Ph.D. Admission Guidelines 

The selection process in the Ph. D Course of APJ Abdul Kalam University is based on the performance of the Entrance Examination. The shortlisted candidates are called for an interview. 

The applicants are shortlisted based on the seats available in each department/ faculty/ subject for Ph. D. The candidates' allotment to a supervisor depends on the number of seats per supervisor and the available specialization among the supervisors and research interest of the applicant.

• Select the “Admission” tab and fill in the application form by selecting the desired course
• Fill in the form with personal, academic and upload all the required documents where required
• The registration fee must be paid via Net Banking/ Credit Card/ Debit Card
• Submit the filled information and take a printout of it for future use

Entrance Exam Pattern 

Candidates need to sit for an entrance examination in order to get selected for the Ph. D course in ABKU. The exam pattern is as follows:

• The exam will be of two hours and will consist of two papers
• Paper I consists of common questions for all the applicants of various disciplines. It carries 100 marks and the time duration allotted for this section is one hour.
• There are four sections in paper I. The sections are General awareness, Basic computers, Research Aptitude, General Science.
• There will be a total of 50 questions in Paper I. 15 from General Awareness and Basic Computer each, and 10 questions from Research Aptitude and General Science.
• Paper-II is based on the individual's subject/ discipline to which the applicant belongs. This paper is also of 100 marks and is given one hour.
• Paper-II consist of 50 objective questions.
• The passing marks is 55% in both Paper I and Paper-II.
