Eligibility for B.E
- A candidate must have passed 10+2 or higher secondary examination from a recognised board with minimum 45% marks in aggregate (40% for reserved category).
- Final year or appearing students are also eligible to apply for JEE Mains provisionally.
- Also, he/she must have appeared in a national level entrance test like JEE Mains for the particular academic year.
Eligibility for B.E Lateral Entry
- A candidate must have passed Diploma in Engineering of minimum 3 years duration from a recognised board/University with at least 60% marks in aggregate (55% marks for reserved category).
- The candidate must also attempt the PULEET Entrance test conducted by Panjab University for Lateral entry admissions.
Selection Criteria
- For seeking admissions to the 4 year B.E programme, a candidate must have a valid score in National Level entrance test JEE Mains.
- For admissions to Lateral Entry B.E admissions, a candidate must appear in the University conducted PULEET Entrance Exam.

- For seeking admissions to Ph.D programmes, must have passed Master’s degree in relevant stream with minimum 55% marks (50% for reserved category).
- Final year or appearing students are also eligible to apply for the entry based entrance test by Panjab University.
Selection Criteria
- Eligible candidates are required to appear for the University conducted M.Phil./Ph.D entrance test.
- Candidates who have appeared for national level tests like UGC CSIR NET, GATE or equivalent are exempted from appearing for the entrance test.
