Reva University Admission 2024 (Open): Courses, Eligibility, Application Form, Dates

The university provides Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and Bachelor of Technology Lateral (B.Tech Lateral) degrees to their students at the graduate level. The course duration of B.Tech is 4 years while B.Tech (Lateral) or the lateral entry needs 3 years to get completed.

Reva University offers five specializations in Bachelor of Technology, that are Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. The specializations are similar to the students who take lateral or second-year entry in the B.Tech.

The students interested in the courses mentioned above must have to go through an entrance test administered by the university itself (REVA CET). The selection will be made according to the score and performance in the entrance examination.

• There is a 5% marks relaxation for SC/ST category in B.Tech eligibility criteria.

Along with B.Tech, the university provides various courses at undergraduate level namely: Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA), Bachelor of Science (BS), Bachelor of Laws (B.A-LLB), BBA-LLB, and Bachelor of Arts (B.A) with various specializations.

B.Arch, B.A-LLB, and BBA-LLB take 5 years to be completed, whereas, duration of B.Com, BBA, and B.A is 3 years. Bachelor of Science (BS) takes 4 years to complete.

The candidates interested in B. Arch must possess a certificate in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture through academic unit National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture (NIASA) with a minimum of 40% (as per prevalent NATA regulation).

To get a bachelor's degree in B.Com and BS from REVA University one should have 45% marks in the 10+2 level exam. Selection for other UG level courses will be made as per the marks obtained by candidates at 10+2 level examinations.

5% marks relaxation for the SC/ST category in case of admission in B.Com and BS programs.

Reva University also offers Master of Technology (M.Tech) and Master of Science (MS) at the postgraduate level for the candidates looking to make a career in the field of technology. The university offers 14 different specializations in M.Tech whereas MS has only one specialization i.e. Computer Science.

All of the M.Tech programs take 2 years duration at the PG level except Computer Science (Part-Time) and VLSI & Embedded Systems (Part-Time). These two M.Tech specializations take 3 years to be completed. MS program in Computer Science also has 2 years of duration periods.

Candidates intended to get an M.Tech degree from REVA University, need to appear PGCET exam, which is a state-level entrance test conducted by the  Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). The university will make a selection as per the marks obtained in the exam. Admission to the Master of Science in Computer Science (MS) program at REVA University is strictly based on Merit.

For both of the M.Tech and MS programs, there are 5% marks relaxations for SC/ST candidates.

Reva University also offers a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Application (MCA) and Master of Computer Application (MCA) with Lateral entry at the postgraduate level.

All three courses are offered with a single specialization. The MCA program has 3 years of durations while the Lateral entry of MCA has a duration of 2 years. The duration of the MBA program is 2 years.

Candidates intended in the MCA program have to appear in the PGCET entrance test, which is conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority. The performance of the candidates will decide their selection for the MCA program. The MCA Lateral entry program needs no entrance exam to be admitted to the course. For admission in the MBA program one needs to have a good score in Reva University Common Entrance Test (REVA CET) or CAT / MAT / CMAT or any other equivalent examination conducted by recognized Institute / Agency.

For all of the above courses, there is 5% marks relaxation for SC/ST category.

Reva University also provides M.A, M.Com, and M.Sc program at Postgraduate level. The university offers two specializations in Master of Arts (MA), that are English and Journalism & Communication. Master of Commerce (M.Com) is provided with just one specialization in it. Master of Science (M.Sc) has four specializations in Applied Mathematics, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemistry at PG level. REVA also offers two years PG Diploma in Pharmacovigilance.

All the postgraduate programs have 2 years of durations except M.Sc in Applied Mathematics, which has 4 years of durations.

The programs at the postgraduate level need no entrance exam. The candidates will be selected as per their obtained marks in 10+2 level tests or on the basis of merit.

The university offers 5% marks relaxations for SC/ ST category in all the PG programs except PG Diploma.

The Reva University has another offering for the candidates interested in research-based Ph. D program. The Ph.D. program provides 17 different kinds of specializations to their respective students. Each of the specializations needs 3 years to get completed.

Eligible candidates must have a master's degree or a professional degree in the relevant subject with an aggregate of 55% marks from any authorized university. Selection will be done by Reva University Ph.D. Entrance Test (REVA PET).
