National Institute of Technology - [NIT], Pondicherry - Hostel Details

Like every other hostel, you need to bring all the necessities you need to the hostel of NITP. Some of the important basic things which you will need in NIT-P are the following. 

• You will need bed sheets, pillows, and its covers, blankets, or a quilt for making your bed.
• Things from daily routine items like toothbrush, toothpaste, towel, face wash, perfume or deodorants, soaps, grooming kit.
• Clothes for general wear and for college. It’s also best to pack some special clothes for some special occasions or college fests.
• In terms of stationery items, it’s best to bring your items. You can buy notebooks from there too.

These will be the basic items needed for when you join the hostel of NIT-P.

The hostel at NIT Puducherry is amazing with all the required facilities available. There are two hostels, one for boys and another one for girls. In the next 1–2 years, more hostels with single rooms will be built.

Following are a few details about the hostel and the facilities it offers:

• There is a mess on the first floor of each hostel. As a result, you won't have to walk far to eat your meal. The mess food is better than that of most other government colleges.
• There are two big lifts in each hostel. As a result, you will not have to climb many stairs.
• Each floor of the hostel has high-speed Wi-Fi and LAN, as well as water coolers, two large washrooms, and fire extinguishers, and fire alarms.
• On each floor, there is a common room with a television. You can watch movies, sports, and other entertainment.
• The rooms are spacious and well-maintained.
• There are security available 24 hours a day, and they are quite helpful.
• Most importantly, from the boy's hostel, you can see the enormous expanse of the Bay of Bengal sea. For those who do not live near the coast, the view is breathtaking.
• Due to the sea, there is a cool breeze for 24 hours.

Overall, it is a great institute with the best facilities.
