IIT Kanpur BS + M.Des Design Management: Fees 2025, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

Candidates applying for B.Tech and BS programs need to apply through the Centralized admission process conducted by JoSAA on the basis of JEE score. There is no initial registration fee for choice filling.

For PG and Ph.D. programs, the candidates can apply by visiting the official website of IIT, Kanpur. The Application fee of INR 400 (INR 200 for SC/ST/PWD) is required to be paid through Payment Gateway via Net Banking / Credit or Debit Card.

Candidates must have passed class 12 from any recognized board. Candidates having passed any exam equivalent to class 12 are also eligible to apply.

The candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the Class 12 examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65% in the Class 12/qualifying examination. The candidate is also required to pass each of the subjects of the Class 12 / qualifying examination.

Students need to qualify for the JEE examination

IIT, Kanpur offers a special dual degree program in various specialization. Candidates can apply for a dual degree in order to pursue Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in the same department or Bachelor’s in any department with MBA.

The applications are invited twice in a year in the month of April and November every year. The candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of the institute. 

Note: 50% tuition fee waiver for M.Sc.-Ph.D. (Dual degree) students is available after the first semester.
