The hostel facilities are good. Particularly they are better for the first year boys compared to first yeat girls as the boys hostel is recently built. The mess food is fairly good and it is said that the girls hostel mess has better food than boys hostel mess.

Life is very beautiful on campus with lots of friends. They help you with your studies and also give you a party. You also interact with many talented seniors by participating in different events. There are many clubs to join with your interest.

There are three fests of IIT Kanpur namely UDGHOSH Sports Fest, ANTARAGNI Cultural fest, and TECHKRITI Technical and Entrepreneurship Fest. These are organized generally in October and March and the Library consists of various books related to academics and nonacademics. There are multiple clubs in IITK which you can find out on the official website and the amenities in classrooms are very good.

Rooms in the first year are good and they are quite spacious and we are provided with one table one chair, 24/7 electricity, wifi, water, the mess is ok-ish as you would get bored of food no matter how good it is. The registration process is smooth and will be done by you on your first day with guidance from staff and seniors.

The hostel is provided by the college as it is a residential college so you have your hostel life and the mess is good but sometimes the quality can be low to fund hostel fest and activities otherwise the food we get is good.
