At postgraduate level, IIT Varanasi offers M.Tech and M.Pharm programs to the candidates. M.Tech course is provided under 30 different specializations and the M.Pharm program is offered with 4 different specializations. The duration of the full-time M.Tech and M.Pharm courses is two years.

Candidates seeking admission to the M.Tech and M.Pharm program must hold a degree in the related discipline with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA/CPI of 6 in 10 point scale (without rounding off) in the qualifying degree.
