B.Sc. in Anthropology is a 3- year long Bachelor’s program essentially involving a comparative study of human similarities and differences. It broadly covers the biological and cultural history of the human species over the last four million years, the cultural patterns of people from around the world, and the techniques and ideas people have used both to exploit and protect natural resources and the environment. The Department of Anthropology offers courses broadly categorized as Archaeology, Biological Anthropology, and Cultural Anthropology. The course aims to investigate humankind and human society, from the physical evolution of the human body and brain, through to the political, cultural and linguistic practices of modern societies.
Anthropology is the science of the origin of the mankind. It covers the history of the development of human beings and the social, cultural and physical growth and behavior of mankind.
