Allahabad University offers admission to the 3 year duration UG Courses in multiple specialisations. The most basic eligibility criteria for taking admission in the UG Courses is to complete a 10+2 level board examination from a recognised board with the minimum required aggregate scores. Admission will be done through Common University Entrance Test (CUET) conducted by NTA.

Allahabad University UG Selection Criteria

Candidates will be provided admission at Allahabad University based on the marks they will score in the Common University Entrance Exam (CUET-UG). Given below are some other criteria of the Selection Process:

• Candidates of B.A/B.Sc/B.Com/B.F.A/B.P.A/B.A.LLB will have to appear for the General Test for admission
• Admission will be based on merit and counselling of the candidates
• Candidates will have to select one compulsory language out of English & Hindi for the section IA (language test)
• Candidates applied for B.F.A will have to appear for a practical exam as per the selection procedure

Admission through Sports & Extracurricular Activities (ECA): As per the norms of the Government of India and AU Policy, candidates who participated in State/National Championships will be selected. 2% of seats are reserved under each subject under the Sports Quota.

Seat Reservation: As per the norms of the Government of India and AU policy, 15% of total seats are reserved for the SC category; 7.5% of total seats are reserved for the ST category; 27% of total seats are reserved for the OBC category; 5% of total seats are reserved for PWD category and 10 % of total seats are reserved for EWS candidates

Allahabad University UG Application Process

Candidates, who want to seek admission to Allahabad University, will have to appear for the CUET (UG). Candidates will have to register for the CUET by going to the official website of NTA. Candidates can only register for CUET in online mode. The step-by-step process to fill up the application form for CUET is provided below:

• Go to the official website of NTA- https://nta.ac.in/
• Enter a valid Email-ID along with a valid mobile number to generate an application ID and password.
• The Application ID and Password that will be generated must be saved as they will be required in future stages of admissions.
• Fill in all the personal details- Name, DOB, Father’s Name, Address, etc.
• Upload all the Academic details – class 10th and 12th Mark sheets
• Upload all the required documents along with scanned copies of the photograph and signature
• Pay the application fees in online mode (Credit/Debit card/Net banking/UPI)
• Take a printout of the submitted form and receipt for future reference

Allahabad University grants admissions in PG courses to those students who have qualified PGAT entrance exam with valid scores. The PGAT entrance exam is taken for admissions in MA, M.Tech., M.B.A., M.Sc. courses. Mentioned below is the table of different PG courses along with their multiple specialisations: 

Allahabad University PG Eligibility Criteria

• For admission to M.Sc. in Biotechnology, the candidate must have completed B.Sc. or B.A. in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks in the examination.
  For admission to M.A., the candidate must have completed bachelor's degree in the relevant specialisation with atleast 59% marks from a recognised University.

Allahabad University PG Selection Process 

• For admission to the M. Tech., the candidate must have qualified GATE entrance examination with the valid scores required for admission.
• For admission to the other PG courses, the candidates have to clear the PGAT entrance exam with valid scores.
• For admission to MBA Program, the candidate has to qualify the PGAT entrance exam along with Group Discussion and personal interview rounds 

Allahabad University offers doctorate course Ph.D. in 31 different specializations. Allahabad University PhD Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate must have completed a master's degree in the relevant specialisation from a recognised University.
• The candidate must have scored atleast 55% marks in the aggregate of master's degree. 

Allahabad University PhD Selection Process

• The candidate must have to qualify CRET entrance exam for taking admission in the multiple specialisations of Ph.D.
• The students who have qualified UGC-NET OR JRF OR SLET are exempted from giving the CRET entrance exam.
• After getting shortlisted in the entrance exam, the students have to undergo counselling round for taking admission in the Ph.D. course.
