Aligarh Muslim University MA Admission 2023 is open now. Admissions to the program are based on a departmental admission test conducted by the university. As per the revised counseling schedule for Departmental Test Courses, the last date to register for Counseling Round 1 is July 19. The document verification for the same can be completed from July 20-22. The firm list 1 for Departmental test courses will be displayed on July 26-27. The last date for acceptance of admission and payment of fees by candidates on firm list 1 is July 31. AMU MA Admission Criteria
For MA in any specialization, AMU conducts Departmental Admission Test for admission of students. Admissions are based on the marks secured by candidates in the Departmental Admission Test.
How To Apply?
Candidates can apply for admission at Aligarh Muslim University only through Online mode. The Application Form, other than online mode, will not be accepted in any case. Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate for each course of study. Follow the below mentioned Steps to be admitted to AMU MA Program:
- Visit the University website www.amucontrollerexams.com.
- Follow the instructions strictly as given in the Guide to Admissions 2023- 24 and on the website. Candidates not complying with the instructions shall be disqualified from admission.
- Candidate should then register online and provide his / her correct and functional email because the username and password etc. will be sent on this email.
- Candidate should Registration only once for applying to the multiple courses.
- After Registering candidate should login using his/her username and password. Dashboard of the candidate will be available to him/her for filling the form.
- The candidate should fill his/her Profile carefully. Fields marked with asterisk are mandatory. After saving the Profile, the candidate will be asked to review and confirm that the particulars entered are correct. Candidate will not be able to Edit/Update his/her Profile after confirmation. If a candidate finds any mistake in his/her Profile after confirmation, then he/she will have to re-register with different Username and Password to complete all the entries afresh.
- Candidate should fill details of his/her educational qualifications by providing the name of all examinations passed, including qualifying examination, year of passing, Examination Roll No., University/Board from where passed, and the percentage/CGPA obtained.
- Upload the important Documents that are required for Admission along with thumb impression and coloured photographs.
- Submit the Application fee through online mode only. The admission fee is not accepted in offline mode. The application fee is INR 700 for all Category candidates.
- The Application Form is submitted electronically the moment the candidate makes the payment of the processing charges and payment is successful.
- Candidates must take the printout of the Application form and keep it for future reference.

Ans. Yes, students can apply for the entrance test online in AMU for MA and BA courses. It is conducted by the relevant department of AMU. It is a 100 marks exam and the duration is 2 hours.
Ques. What are the fees for an MA in international and west Asian studies at AMU?
Ans. At AMU, the fees for an MA in International affairs and West Asian Studies is Rs.2.32 LPA. For admission into these courses, students must have done graduation in French or any other language with at least 50% marks.
