NIT Agartala Courses Admissions 2024: Dates, Eligibility, Selection, Application Process

NITA offers 11 specializations under the B.Tech course, including a dual degree (B.Tech+M.Tech) in Physics. The B.Tech program is of 4 years duration and is available in full time mode only. The basic eligibility, specializations and selection criteria are mentioned below. 

Specializations:

NIT Agartala B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates seeking admission in B.Tech at NIT must have passed their 10+2 from any recognized board of education in PCM.
• A candidate must have scored at least 60% of marks in aggregate and must be eligible to give JEE Main exam.

NIT Agartala B.Tech Selection Criteria

• The selection to B.Tech programme at NIT is made on the basis of merit scored in JEE Main by the candidate.
• The seat allotment takes place after the successful completion of JoSAA counseling process.

NIT Agartala BTech Cutoff 2023 (Expected)

NIT Agartala JEE Main cutoff is the minimum rank to get admitted to the B.Tech program. The cutoff will be released by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). The cutoff depends on various factors such as rank secured in the JEE Main examination, availability of seats, choice filling, reservation criteria, etc. NIT Agartala BTech expected cutoff 2023 for general category candidates based on JoSAA 2022 round 1 opening and round 6 closing ranks is tabulated below:

How to apply for JEE-Main?

After the candidate fulfils all eligibility criteria, they have to take the JEE- Main for selection. The procedure for applying is given below.

•  Visit the official website of JEE- Main.
• Register for the online application form.
• Make a note of the system-generated application number.
• Create a password.
• Log in again and fill out the form.
• Upload scanned images of photographs and signatures.
• A fee of 650 INR (325 INR for reserved categories) will be charged/ It is to be paid through Debit card, Credit card, Net banking, UPI or Paytm.
• Keep a printout of the application form for future use.

How to apply for JoSAA?

 After a candidate qualifies the JEE-Main, they will have to undergo counselling before final selection. The procedure for registering for counselling is given below:

• Click on the registration page at the official JoSAA website.
• Use the JEE Main application number to log in.
• Ensure that your candidate profile is accurate.
• Click on ‘Submit changes’.
• Fill out your preferred colleges and specializations according to the list of available options.
• Lock the selected choices by clicking on ‘I agree to lock my choices’.
• Keep a printout of the page for future reference.
• After submitting all the requisite information, pay the counselling fees (800 INR) online.
• Keep a printout of the application form. It will be needed for verification at the facilitation centre.

NITA offers 20 specializations under the M.Tech course. The course has a duration of two years. The basic eligibility, specializations and selection criteria are mentioned below. 

Specializations:

NIT Agartala M.Tech Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates seeking admission in M.Tech programme must have passed their graduation (preferably B.Tech) in the relevant discipline. 
• A candidate must have scored at least 60% of marks in aggregate and must be eligible to take the GATE exam.

NIT Agartala M.Tech Selection Criteria

• The selection to M.Tech programme at NIT is made on the basis of merit scored in GATE by the candidate.
• The seat allotment takes place after the successful completion of CCMT counseling process.

How to apply for GATE? 

Eligible candidates can take the GATE for selection. The application procedure for it is elaborated below:

• Visit the official website
• Register through the link by entering the candidate’s name, email ID and mobile number.
• After the form is submitted, an enrollment ID will be sent to the candidate’s mobile number.
• Fill out the application form.
• A fee of 1,500 INR (750 INR for women and reserved categories) will be charged. It is to be paid online.
• Download the form and keep a printout for future reference.

How to apply for CCMT?

Those who qualify the GATE will be invited for counselling (CCMT). The following are the steps for registering for the CMCT:

• Register at the official website.
• Fill out the application form.
• Pay the registration fee of 2,200 INR (1,700 INR for reserved categories).
• Click on “I agree”.
• Start entering your choices. When it is done, lock the choices.
• Submit the application and keep a printout.

NIT Agartala GATE Cutoff 2023 (Expected)

The institute offers a 2 years (4 Semester) MBA programme. The basic eligibility, specializations and selection criteria for MBA programmes are mentioned below.

NIT Agartala MBA Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates seeking admission in MBA programmes must hold a graduation degree in any discipline. 
• A candidate must have scored at least 60% of marks in graduation and must be eligible to give the CAT/CMAT/GMAT exam.

NIT Agartala MBA Selection Criteria

• The selection to MBA programme at NIT is made on the basis of merit scored in CAT/CMAT/GMAT by the candidate.
• The seat allotment takes place after the successful completion of the counseling process and group discussion round.

How to apply for CAT?

Candidates who are eligible for admission to MBA have to take the CAT for selection. Follow these steps to register:

• Visit the official website.
• Click on “Registration” for new users.
• Read the given instructions.
• Fill in the necessary details to generate OTP.
• Enter the OTP and validate it.
• Check ‘I Agree’ and submit the CAT application form.
• After submitting the details, a message will be sent to the registered mobile number containing the password, and an email will be sent containing the user ID.
• After the registration is complete, a unique login ID and password will be generated.
• Click on ‘Go to Application Form’ to fill out the CAT application form.

NIT Agartala MBA Application Fee

• For SC/ST Candidates: INR 500/-
• For other candidates: INR 1000/-

The institute offers a 2 years, full time M.Sc. programme under three specializations including Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics & Computing. The basic eligibility and selection criteria is mentioned below. 

NIT Agartala M.Sc Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have passed a B.Sc. degree in relevant discipline.
• Candidates must have secured at least 55% of marks in their graduation. 

NIT Agartala M.Sc Selection Criteria

• The initial selection to the M.Sc program is made on the basis of marks scored in IIT JAM.
• A candidate is offered the admission seat after the successful completion of CCMN counselling round.

NIT Agartala M.Sc Cutoff 2023 (Expected)

How to apply to IIT JAM?

The candidates who are eligible for studying M.Sc have to take the IIT JAM. Follow these steps to register:

• Visit the official website
• Register through the link by entering the candidate’s name, email address and mobile phone number. Create a password.
• After submitting the registration form, an enrolment ID would be sent to the mobile number.
• Fill out the form. Include the details of the JAM papers and choice of JAM examination cities.
• Pay the application fee online and keep a printout for future reference.
• You can download the admit card from this portal later.

For counseling:

• Visit the website of CCMN and click on “New Registration”.
• Enter the JAM score details.
• Enter the personal details carefully.
• Click on “proceed’ to preview the filled out form.
• Create a password and click on “Submit”. An OTP will be sent to your number.
• Enter the OTP. A Permanent Identifier (PID) will be created. Once this happens, no more registration will be allowed. Use this to log on to the Candidate’s Corner from the next time onwards.

NIT Agartala offers a full-time MCA program at the postgraduate level for a duration of three years. The institute has a total intake of 30 for the MCA course. Candidates seeking admission to the program are required to appear for the NIMCET entrance examination.

NIT Agartala MCA Eligibility Criteria

• A Bachelor’s degree in BCA/B.Sc/B.Sc (Hons)/BIT/B.Voc. (Computer Science/ Computer Applications)/ BBA (Computer Applications) with a minimum of 60% marks 
• Candidates must have studied Mathematics or Statistics as a subject

NIT Agartala MCA Selection Criteria

Selection of the candidates is done on the basis of their scores in the NIMCET entrance exam which is further followed by the counseling process.

NIT Agartala MCA Application Process

• Click on the registration link to apply
• Next, login and fill the form with the required details 
• Then pay the application fee of INR 2500 (for General and OBC) and INR 1250 for (SC/ST) through debit card/ credit card/ net banking.

NIT Agartala offers a five-year dual degree (B.S+M.S) program in three specializations, namely, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. On the successful completion of the program, students are awarded a degree in B.S and M.S. Candidates seeking admission to the program, are required to appear for Joint Entrance Exam (JEE).

NIT Agartala B.S+M.S Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission to the B.S+M.S dual degree program, candidates must have completed their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects from a recognized board of education.

NIT Agartala B.S+M.S Selection Criteria

Selection of the candidates is done on the basis of JEE Main rank which is further followed by JoSAA counseling. Seats are allocated on the basis of JEE Main Rank, availability of seats, categories, and other factors.
 

NIT Agartala offers a phd degree across several specializations of Engineering and Science Departments. The institute accepts admission to the program twice a year i.e. in the Spring semester and Autumn semester. 

NIT Agartala PhD Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have completed their Master's Degree in the relevant field of Engineering or Science stream with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 on the 10 point scale.

• Candidates should have completed their Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology with at least 9.0 CGPA on the 10 point scale.

NIT Agartala PhD Selection Criteria

• The initial shortlisting of a candidate is based on the scores of GATE/ GMAT/ UGC NET/ CSIR NET/ CAT.
• The final selection to the PhD programme is made on the basis of the performance of a candidate in the written test and personal interview conducted by the institute only.
