Karunya Deemed University Admission 2024: Dates, Eligibility, Selection Criteria, Application Process

Karunya University offers B.Tech in Regular and Lateral Entry modes in multiple specializations and B.Sc in specializations at the UG level.

To be eligible for B.Tech and B.Sc, candidates must have passed 10+2 with 50% marks in PCM subjects. For Lateral Entry, a Diploma in the concerned discipline is required.

Admission to B.Tech is based on the valid score in KEE, conducted by the university. B.Sc admission is based on merit in the qualifying examination.

Key Points:

• Candidates applying for Lateral Entry should have completed their diploma within the stipulated time of 3 years.
• For Lateral entry, candidates must be less than 26 years of age, as on the August 01, at the time of admission.
• The medium of instruction should be English at 10+2/Diploma level.

Karunya University offers BA course under its UG Program. Candidates are required to pass 10+2 level of educaton with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. Admission to the course is done on the basis of the marks in the qualifying examination on a first come first served basis by online process.

Key Points:

• All SC/ST candidates are eligible for a relaxation of 5%.

Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences also offers M.Tech program in various specializations. Candidates must have a Bachelors’ Degree in relevant discipline of Engineering. Admission for these programs will be done on the basis of qualifying examinations. If selected, an individual selection letter will be sent to the candidate at the Email ID.  

The institute offers M.Sc in 5 specializations at the PG level. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university to be eligible for the program. Admission to the courses is based on merit in the last qualifying exam.

• All SC/ST candidates are eligible for a relaxation of 5%.
• Final year degree students awaiting results are also eligible to apply.

At the PG level, the institute also offers MBA in full-time and part-time modes in 5 specializations. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree to be eligible for admission.

Admission to MBA is done on the basis of a valid score in KMAT, conducted by Karunya School of Management (KUBS). Candidates with valid CAT/ XAT/ MAT score can also get admission.

Key Points:

• Students with valid score in CAT/MAT (minimum 400 percentile) or XAT are exempted from KMAT. 
• Admission will be granted on the basis of total marks obtained by the candidate in different sections out of 100.

 The university conducts Karunya Entrance Exam (KEE) for admission to B.Tech and B.Sc Agri. (Hons.) whereas students have to qualify the Karunya Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) in order to secure admission in MBA.  A detailed instruction will be communicated to the candidates one week before the entrance examination. The URL link, Username, and Password for taking up the online entrance examination shall be communicated to the candidates through the registered e-mail.
