Bharathidasan University BCom Admission Process
Bharathidasan University offers direct admissions to candidates in its BCom program. The university does not conduct any entrance test for admissions to the same. A merit list is prepared on the basis of the candidate's academic merit. Candidates whose name appears in the merit list shall be eligible for admissions to the course.

Program Structure
- Course Duration: The course is divided into six semesters of 15 teaching weeks each. Each academic year comprises 2 semesters, namely, even semester (November/ December - April/ May) and odd semester (June/ July - October/ November).
- Course Structure: The course comprises Language Courses (LC) (any one of the languages from Tamil, Hindi, Sanskrit, French, Arabic, Urdu, etc), English Language Courses (ELC), Core Courses (CC), Core Practical (CP), Allied Courses (AC), Allied Practical (AP), Elective Courses (EC), Major Based Elective (MBE), Skill Based Elective (SBE) and Non-Major Elective (NME) courses.
- Credits: A total of 140 credits are assigned to the course.
- Examinations: Examinations are conducted at the end of each semester, for odd semesters in October/November and for even semesters in April/May. 75% weightage is given to end term examinations and remaining 25% weightage is given to CIA.
- Evaluation: The evaluation is done on the basis of end term examinations and continuous internal assessments. Lectures/ Tutorials/ Laboratory or field work/ Seminar/ Practical Training/ Assignments/ Term Paper or Report Writing also contribute effectively to the evaluation process.
