TANCET Exam- Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test

• The Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test is conducted by the state government for admission to various postgraduate courses.
• It is conducted and governed by the Anna University, Chennai.
• More than 200 colleges and institutes accept the TANCET results.
• There is no age restriction for candidates appearing for the TANCET.
• Applicants for MBA and MCA course must have completed his/her graduation from a recognized institute or university in any discipline­
• For all other courses, candidates should have completed their B.Tech/BE from a recognized institute or university in the relevant field.
• Those candidates who have completed 10+2+AMIE or 10+3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE are also eligible for TANCET.
• Based on the TANCET marks the candidates are shortlisted according to their scores in the appearing test.

DEET Exam- Distance Education Entrance Test

• DEET- Distance Education Entrance Test is a common exam conducted by Anna University.
• Aims to provide admission to the Distance Education program of the university.
• DEET scores are valid only for 1 year.
