When an NRI applies for admission to Anna University, the process is different from regular counseling. During the months of April and May, the application form for NRIs, CIWCGs, and foreign nationals is available. Your physics, chemistry, and mathematics test scores from your respective board will be used to determine which course or branch you will take. The video gives you additional information about Anna University NRI admission
A combined average of 50% in mathematics, physics, and chemistry is the minimum requirement for eligibility. An NRI counselor is assigned to each department to look after the needs of the students, assess their academic performance, and offer suggestions for improvement.
They certainly can. Anna University in Chennai now handles admissions to engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu following the exclusion of the Tamil Nadu Professional Colleges Entrance Examination in 2007.
For students from other states, it has a special space reserved for them, and on a different day, counseling is provided. Because there aren't many people coming from other states to study at Anna University, they should have an easy time getting in.
TNEA is the state-level admission procedure for the state of Tamil Nadu. Anna University organizes it to provide admissions to B.E./B. Tech professional degree courses. Admission will be granted solely on the basis of the intermediate (12th) class percentage. The candidate must obtain 45% (general category), 40% (backward class, including backward class Muslim), 40% (MBC and DNC), and 40% (SC/ST/SCA).
Industrial quota or consortium quota as it is generally called is a medium through which a student can be admitted to any of the UG courses of the university.
Anyone who has an industry can apply through this quota which is its main qualification. The process is as follows:
The university reviews all the applications submitted.
It then visits the industry and makes a report on the background of the company.
Based on the report the applied candidate is given a seat in the university.
Most importantly an MOU is signed between the university and the industry.
The main thing to consider is that the company should be related to the course the candidate is willing to pursue.
Some of the Top colleges under Anna University are :
All the above colleges require a minimum cutoff of 195 and above. You are required to get a minimum cutoff (PCM) of 198 or 199 if you wish to get into Anna University, or any other college affiliated to it through the counselling process.
In Anna University counseling, CBSE students are not given any special consideration. Officially, they claim that CBSE students' grades are moderated, but the process is as follows. They take into account the highest mark obtained by a student in that subject across India. Because it will be 100, if you get 85, your grade will not change.
The CBSE cut-off is calculated in such a way that,
((Mathematics marks) + ((Physics + Chemistry marks)/2))
As a result of the cut-off calculation, CBSE students are always at a significant disadvantage when competing with state board students. Even if a student achieves 95 in each of the three subjects, the cut-off is 190, which is low when compared to state board students.
The following are some of the other options:
SSN has its own meritorious management quota. If you are chosen, you will be subjected to a test and an interview.
Many other colleges, such as Loyola and Rajalakshmi, provide meritorious management seats that you can apply for.
Other state (OS) students have two main ways to get admissions into Anna University.
Through Other State Quota: Only government colleges can be availed through this. About 2-3 seats are available only for each department. The counselling procedure is based on home state 12 equivalent marks.
Through Home State Quota: This way allows any other students to participate in counselling along with home state students provided that they fill certain criteria. The criteria for this is that
The cutoff through the second method is set based on marks he scored on 12 equivalent exams.

Jadavpur University is a member of the Association of Universities of India (AIU) and has been accredited with Grade 'A' by NAAC.

Admission to the aforementioned universities can be a cakewalk if one qualifies the relevant entrance exams with standard scores. In regard to cut-off marks, universities display wide variation in their cut-off between consecutive years.
No, Anna University does not accept JEE Main scores for admission to BE or BTech programs. Seats in B. E. & B. Tech. Degree Courses in University Departments and Constituent Colleges of Anna University are allocated through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) Counselling. For general counselling, the TNEA rank list is released by authorities to shortlist candidates based on their marks obtained by candidates in the prescribed subjects in the qualifying exam, after reducing them to a base of 200. To be eligible to apply for TNEA, candidates must have studied class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and have a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate.
