Regular Mode:

The applicant must be a citizen of India. (Candidates holding OCI status must have to apply under DASA mode.)
The applicant must be appearing in Paper 1 (B.E. /B.Tech.) during one or more sessions of JEE (Main) 2022 Examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
The applicant must have passed with an aggregate of minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade in Class 12th (10+2) examination. Applicants appearing in the class 12th examination are also eligible to apply.
The applicant must have secured an aggregate of minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in Class 12th examination.
The applicant must have passed with an aggregate of minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade in Class 10th examination.

DASA Mode:

The applicant should have a valid minimum aggregate score of 1040 (out of a maximum of 1600) in SAT conducted by College Board, USA. OR
The applicant must have secured a minimum of 90 percentile as Final NTA score (percentile) in Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.) of JEE (Main) 2022 Examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
The applicant must have passed with an aggregate of minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade in Class 12th (10+2) examination or equivalent examination from the board recognised by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with adequate proficiency in English. Applicants appearing in the class 12th examination are also eligible to apply.

My brother is from LNMIIT so I can tell you why LNMIIT is a better choice.

Ranking and Accreditation:

LNMIIT holds 2nd rank among the best IT colleges in Jaipur and 3rd best private college in Rajasthan. LNMIIT is approved by AICTE and has also been accredited by NAAC with a grade 'A'.

Admission: It is a “Non-Profit” Institute and admissions here are based on JEE (Mains). There is no reservation policy. Every student is treated equally based on their performance.

Facilities: Facilities like infrastructure, hostel, mess are much better than IIT Kota.

Placements: The Highest package offered in IIIT Kota is of about 27 lakhs/year whereas in LNMIIT it is 36 lakhs and the average salary package offered is around 10.48 lakhs and still increasing.

Clubs and Extra-curricular: There are various clubs and extracurricular activities present on campus. All the clubs are actively involved in various kinds of sports, technical and cultural activities.

Fest: Every year LNMIIT organizes one of the biggest annual Techno-cultural fests, i.e. “Vivacity”.

I feel LMNIIT CSE is a much better choice than NIT Agartala CSE provided that you have the financial means to get admission there. Here is why I feel it's better than NIT Agartala

LMNIIT has a more updated and flexible curriculum than NIT Agartala.
LMNIIT has a better crowd since the admissions are purely based on merit and there is no reservation policy.
Many IT giants visit LMNIIT every year for placements which isn't the case at NIT Agartala as the job opportunities are limited there.
Jaipur has better opportunities for preparation for competitive exams like CAT and GRE.
LNMIIT is not a private college but a Public Private Partnership so you will avail the benefits of this high brand value in the industry.

So, is better to look beyond the NIT tag and choose LMNIIT because the tag does not matter much more than academics and placements.

I have a few friends from both Thapar University and LNM-IIT Jaipur and based on the reviews I got from them, I will say LNMIIT Jaipur will be a better option. Here are the reasons why.

Batch Strength: The total number of students at LNMIIT is less than 600, so the competition will be less in this college.
Placements: The placement scenario of this college is excellent. Top companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Oyo, Uber visit the campus for placements. Samsung is a mass recruiter in this college and has offered packages of more than 13 lakhs per annum. According to the recent placement highlights the average and highest CTC offered to the students are 12 LPA and 58 LPA respectively. Students also perform well in off-campus placements.
Workshops: There are various kinds of workshops such as GSoC, mun, and many cultural and technical fests organized in the college.
Reservations: There are no reservations or state quotas for admission.
Coding Culture: The campus has a good coding culture.

Hence, LNMIIT is a very good place to pursue CSE, but a college is just a medium and it completely depends on how you can utilize your 4 years in the college. Your success will depend on your hard work and efforts.
