MGSU Admission 2024: Dates, Courses, Fees Eligibility, Application Form, Merit List

Basic eligibility for B.A (Hons.) is a pass in 10+2 with at least 50% marks in aggregate. Admission is granted on the basis of marks in the last qualifying examination followed by the document verification process.

MGSU UG Eligibility Criteria 

Candidates having passed 10+2 with 50% Marks are eligible for admission to B.Sc Yogic Science  and BA/ B.Sc (Hons.) Geography course.

The eligibility for admission to B.L.I.Sc course is graduation in any stream with at least 50% marks.

MGSU UG Selection Criteria

For Admission to B.Sc Yogic Science, BA/ B.Sc (Hons.) Geography and B.L.I.Sc courses candidates have to apply online on the university website. MGSU will release a merit list on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination. 

Candidates having their names in the merit list will be called for document and fee submission to confirm the admission.

MGSU offers MA programs for a duration of 2 years in full time mode. The program is offered in 6 specializations. For more information check table below.

MGSU MA Eligibility Criteria

Minimum eligibility is a pass in relevant Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks in aggregate. 

MGSU MA Selection Criteria

Final selection to all the postgraduate programs will be done on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination.

Maharaja Ganga Singh University (MGSU) offers M.Sc program in 5 specializations in full time mode. The duration of M.Sc program is 2 years.

MGSU M.Sc Eligibility Criteria

M.Sc Environmental Science: B.Sc. with a medical/ non-medical group or Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science/Geology/Earth Science/Microbiology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Agriculture/Horticultural/Forestry/Wildlife/ Life Science with 50 % marks in aggregate.

M.Sc Microbiology: B.Sc. with Life Science as one of the main subject or Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology/Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/Genetics/Medicine/Agriculture/Horticulture e/Forestry/Wildlife/Pharmacy/Veterinary/Life Sciences with 50% marks

M.Sc (Computer Science): Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50% marks in aggregate

M.Sc Computer Science (Lateral Entry): PGDCA from any recognized university

M.Sc Computer Science (Cyber Security): Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50% marks in aggregate with Computer Science as the main subject

M.Sc Yoga Studies and Therapy Management (SFS): 

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with One year Regular Diploma in Yoga with a minimum of 48% marks from Government recognized University/Recognized Institution.

 Or B.Sc. Naturopathy and Yogic Science/Yogic Science/Yoga/Yoga education with minimum 48% marks from Government recognized University/College or 

B.Y.N.S Five year regular course with minimum 48% marks from Government recognized University/College

MGSU M.Sc Selection Criteria

Admission to M.Sc program will be granted on the basis of merit in qualifying examination.

Graduate students having more than 50% marks can apply for Post graduate Diploma programs in MGSU. The University offers Post Graduate Diploma in Geoinformatics and Remote Sensing, Computer Applications, Translation (English), and Yoga & Naturopathy.

MGSU PG Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have completed Graduation in the relevant discipline with 50% Marks are eligible for admission to PG Diploma courses of MGSU Bikaner.

MGSU PG Selection Criteria

Admission to Post graduate courses will be granted on the basis of merit in qualifying examination.

The minimum eligibility for M.Phil and Ph.D. courses is a pass in PG degree in the relevant discipline with 55% marks in aggregate. Admission is granted on the basis of a valid MPCET score (minimum 36% marks) followed by an interview. MPCET is the departmental entrance test conducted by the respective departments of MGSU.

Shortlisted students have to visit the Directorate of Research of MGSU in person with a DD of INR 3000 along with relevant marksheet and certificates.

MGSU M.Phil & Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility requirement for admission to M.Phil/ Ph.D programs of MGSU Bikaner is a postgraduate degree in a relevant course with at least 50% marks.

MGSU M.Phil & Ph.D. Selection Criteria

For admission to M.Phil and Ph.D courses, candidates will be selected on the basis of score of Combined Entrance Test (MPCET) followed by Interview

Pre-Ph.D. Research Work: Candidates admitted to the Ph.D. program need to complete a coursework of 6 months duration. Those candidates who will secure at least 45% marks in the coursework will be considered eligible for final Ph.D. registration.

Key Points:

• There will be only one paper for each subject for the entrance test. The test will consist of 100 MCQs where each question carries the value of 1 marks. For every wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted. The duration of the entrance test will be 2 hours.
• The question paper will be in both English and Hindi for subjects other than languages. For science subjects, the question paper will be in English only.
• The Test will carry 100 marks. Merit will be drawn on the basis of combined marks obtained by the candidates in the Entrance Test followed by an interview.
