- has passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 70% marks (65% for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate of three subjects, namely, Physics, Mathematics and any one subject out of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology and Technical Vocational subject.
- has appeared in JEE (Main)-2021
- possesses a good moral character.
- is a citizen of India.
- has passed 10+2 examination in 2019, 2020 or appearing in 2021

It would be advisable to choose the branch as per your interest first. And then if you figure out that you have an interest in civil engineering, you should go to Thapar. On the other hand, if you have an interest in computer science then you should go to Jaypee Noida.
- Thapar University and Jaypee Noida are both good.
- The main thing to be concerned about is your interest in the stream.
- Both the colleges are very reputed but Thapar has a slight edge over Jaypee.
- The placement record for Jaypee for the past year has not been as good as compared to the previous year‘s records.
