The hostel for the 1st year students is the most loved hostel in Thapar University because of numerous reasons.
Since this will be the first hostel in your college life you will always have a special place for it in your heart. The facilities provided by the hostel are good.
My brother is a graduate of Thapar University. This answer is based on his experience at the hostel of the university. Here are some of the things that made Hostel-J special among all of the hostels of the university.
These are a few specialties regarding Hostel-J in Thapar University. However, the experience can vary from student to student.
According to one of my friends studying at Thapar, generally, the basic items that are required to avail hostel facilities can mostly be found in the nearby departmental store in the COS Complex at Thapar University.
However, it is suggested that you still bring items as listed beneath,
Apart from that, you should get a mattress, shoes, and other relevant items from the nearby store, if required.
Thapar University offers hostel facilities to the enrolled students which are spread over a large area of land. You can opt for two-seaters, three-seaters, and four-seaters rooms as per your requirements and budget.
One of my friends is pursuing his B.Tech from Thapar University and he used to stay in one of the hostels of the university. He has had a very good time there.
I have a friend who attends Thapar and here is his insight about hostel C. Hostel C is one of the top choices for students to move into. Life here is much better in comparison to the other hostels. Here are some of the points for you to consider.
Hostel C definitely offers a better experience as compared to the other hostels. You are good to go with hostel C, it has a good balance of everything and you will not face that many issues here.
Since my sister recently graduated from Thapar, I think I can answer this. Only three hostels, hostels B, C, and H are available for first-year boys.
Out of these hostels, at hostel H there are some AC rooms. It depends on your JEE Mains whether you will get any of the AC rooms at hostel H. Having a good JEE mains score will be beneficial. However, since everyone prefers AC rooms nowadays, the AC rooms get allotted very fast.
Hostel H is also closest to the academics block. It is pretty good. The rooms are spacious. But it lacks interaction with hostels B and C. It also does not have a badminton court or a garden area.
Check the following points to understand a basic difference between both hostels:
Therefore, both Hostel C and J of Thapar University are good. Try to live in every hostel for different years of your student life. As each of them will give you different experiences each year.
