I have chosen computer science and engineering, to be honest, because at the current time, there is a lot of demand for coders and software developers and it has the highest package, that's why I go with this field. A nice faculty-student ratio is maintained here. Nearly 2-3 professors for a particular chapter. They all are well qualified and hardworking. Obviously, they have a great teaching method. Papers are conducted on a regular basis. We have labs and lab exams then we have quizzes and midterm and endsem.
I am in my first year and I am in the civil engineering department, the courses that are taught to us are chemistry, maths, engineering drawing, and introduction to coding. I didn't understand why a civil engineer have to read these all.
The course curriculum is best. I chose this course because I am interested in Mathematics and the computational portion. The faculty of IIT Ropar is well qualified and very fascinating. The teaching method of the faculty is very efficient. There are two main exams in one semester(1/2 year) and two quizzes. The first exam is an average-level exam but the other one is a very logical and hard exam.
I Have chosen this course of research options available in the metallurgical field faculty and student ratio is 1:9 all the faculty members are Ph.D. qualified and some are from foreign countries semester exams are after 2 months and the end sem after another 2 months.
I chose this course because I wanted to be a good civil engineer and make big infrastructures and big buildings. The faculty versus student ratio is good on average there is faculty on 50 students. All the faculties are PhD and studied in foreign countries and the methods of teaching are very good. The term exams were moderate and it was not difficult to pass.
I chose btech in the civil department. I have an interest in this course. The faculty-student ratio is like 1:9 which I think is good. Most of our faculty are qualified from iits and good institutes. The mid-term exams were after 1 month of joining the college
I think computer science and engineering is the best engineering course and it also has a promising future but Artificial Intelligence is also emerging as a good branch you can also opt for that according to rankings of IITs in NIRF. The faculty-student ratio here is 1:9. All the faculties here are very experienced and do their PhD's from reputed colleges or from abroad. In a semester of 4 months after 2 months there are mid-semester exams and then again after 2 months, there are end-semester exams. If you study regularly 2-3 hours a day then you can pass them easily.
I opted for Computer Science because, I had interest in this field. And the faculties here are also good. And being a 2nd Gen IIT, all the faculty here are young and more energetic.Always ready to help you around. And the faculty ratio is too good around 1:9. All are highly Qualified and well equipped with the knowledge that we require. Ihe institute also conduct all the exam and Quizes timely on a moderate level.
