IIT Ropar

Remarks :

Eligibility is related to the 12th percentage on one side and for the jee advanced paper you should qualify in jee mains. The application form is on the NTA site and they released the dates of the form and the results of everything there. Colleges will be provided related to the categories, a lot of benefits to the SC/ST students and OBC have less than medium benefits and less or very less benefits for general and girls also have their benefits here. There should not be any benefits regarding categories.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I have chosen computer science and engineering, to be honest, because at the current time, there is a lot of demand for coders and software developers and it has the highest package, that's why I go with this field. A nice faculty-student ratio is maintained here. Nearly 2-3 professors for a particular chapter. They all are well qualified and hardworking. Obviously, they have a great teaching method. Papers are conducted on a regular basis. We have labs and lab exams then we have quizzes and midterm and endsem.

Internships Opportunities :

Internships here are provided during 3rd year and a lot of companies visit here. They sometimes make a pre-placement offer as well. We have papers and interviews to get selected for the internship. Everything is good here.

Placement Experience :

Students will be eligible for campus placement during their 4th year and internships during their 3rd year. A lot of companies visit here like Google, Microsoft, Flipkart, imb, lnt, and a lot. They also make a placement offer here. Around 70-80 percent of students get their jobs after placement.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure is fairly enough compared to their availabilities here. But I don't like the division on the basis of categories. They divided the fee structure on the basis of categories. And everything is affordable here. And scholarships are nearly to each and every student here. A high chance of getting a scholarship.

Campus Life :

We have a cultural fest called Zeitgeist here. It is going to be conducted on 2-5 November and then we have a technical fest called Advitya and a sports fest called aarohan. Very enjoyable and love them. We have stationery shops, a canteen, and everything behind the mess. All are affordable and easy to buy. I like them a lot. A lot of clubs here for each and everything like coding, software, quizzes, debate, dance, singing, poetry, cooking, aeromodelling, etc.

Hostel Facilities :

Everything is good. We have wifi for every time and good electricity available for every time and bed and we have here sweepers who ask us always to clean the room or not. Meal or mess is different from hostel. The mess has its own system of coupons or live. Either we can take a coupon for the day after tomorrow or today or can eat at that time while making payment. The registration process is simple, we have to fill out a Google form and then pay for the hostel.
