Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth (VNMKV) is an agricultural university imparting professional agricultural education, research and training since its establishment in 1956. VNMKV has 12 constituent and 37 affiliated colleges which offer admission to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in the following disciplines:

• Ph.D. in Agriculture
• Ph.D. in Home Science
• Ph.D. in Food Technology

Candidates with the relevant qualifying degree can register for the above mentioned programmes by filling-in the online application form and submitting the required processing fee.

Admission to the graduate programmes is done on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in the qualifying degree examination and entrance test. Seats are reserved for people belonging to different categories such as SC/ST/BC BC etc. as well as special categories viz. Differently-abled, Children of Freedom Fighter etc.

Eligibility: Candidate should possess M.Sc. (Home Science) degree in the concerned subject with minimum 6.5 CGPA from a recognized Agricultural University or universities recognized as equivalent to the former

VNMKV Admission Process

Admission of candidates to the Ph.D. programme shall be done on the basis of Marks obtained in Common Entrance Test and CGPA secured in the qualifying post-graduate examination

How to Apply?

• Candidates must apply for admission through online registration process from the official MCAER website and submit completed applications. All fields in the application form should be correctly and completely filled-in with the relevant information
• Candidate should log on to the university website and follow the given steps:

1. In the “Admissions” section, click on “Online Application” tab.
2. Click on “Apply Now” button and fill in the application form with all the relevant details.
3. Click on “Save” button if you need to make any changes to the application form or click on “Submit” button if all the particulars are correct

• In order to complete the application process, candidates must submit the registration fee of Rs. 600/- (Rs. 300/- for reserved category candidates) through Challan in State Bank of India branches or through Debit Card, Credit Card and Net Banking. Candidates can also submit the fee through Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of ‘Financial Advisor, MCAER, Pune
• Upon successful submission of online applications, candidate should take a printout of duly filled-in application form and send it along with all the self-attested copies of his/her relevant documents and a recent passport size photograph by Post or by Courier Service to the following address:
