About Central University of Karnataka

Central University of Karnataka (CUK) was established in 2009, by an act of Parliament, in Gulbarga known as Kulabaragi now. The Central University of Karnataka was among the 16 Central Universities established by the Government of India during the UGC XI Plan Period. Its Campus spreads over 654 acres of land at the Gulbarga-Waghdhari Inter-State highway near Kadaganchi village in Kalaburagi. The Central University of Karnataka Programs is offered in five major area- Arts, Humanities, Management, Sciences, and Engineering. The University has all the facilities at the campus such as laboratories, library, canteen, SC/ST cell, computer, and health Centre. This is best place for getting opportunities for proving your self as best by performing tasks and all in front of everyone
The weather in the evening & night time is very pleasant.
Courses also very good I like geology course and geology faculties are also very good
The campus is surrounded with neem trees which is very good for the body.
The Cuk has one of the best faculties and good guest house for the people who comes from the side and the Cuk is having the best arts
Away from city and close to nature and beautiful sunset point
Library in this university is beautiful and has lot of book.

Dislike

The course B.Ed is one of the courses that no one loves, but I had to do it because the college was not good for me. The classes were boring, and the practical aspect was not enjoyable, and it did not meet my expectations.
I think the bad thing about our university is that it does not provide internships.
I think this is a very bad thing in CUK. Being a central university, it does not provide placements and job opportunities.
The scholarship is based on the marks, and it is very unfortunate that the college will not help to avail loans.
The university administration is failing to meet the sports aspirations of students, as coaching and sports gear facilities are not provided.
The hostel is the primary concern for every student in CUK, and the students should share the room with three others, which is annoying. Moreover, the food was not nice, so we didnt eat it

I felt the admission process was quite flexible in Central University of Karnataka. Actually, I applied for the CUET(Central University Entrance Test) which was conducted by the National Testing Agency in 2022. I went through some sort of difficulty during the application process as it was entirely new to me. Moreover, I didn't have any guidance which made my application process a bit difficult. As CUET was conducted for the first time, the cutoff was a bit low and it's been to get admission.

The admission process is very simple. You have to pay 500 for applying to the University. And the rest of the work is done by the University staff i.e., department that you've opted for. The cutoff here is low when compared to other private universities.

The admission was granted by CUET examination marks in the General test. The form is available in the Samarth portal. The reservation is given to people belonging to SC/ST/KKR/OBC categories. The cut-off was released almost a month after the exam

Admission is through a cuet ug examination. After that, for my course, they considered marks for general tests only. They give 8 merit lists. Total no. Of the seats 28 and few seats are for open counselling maybe 1 or 2

The admission was taken with the result of the all-India Central University level test which is the CUET exam. The exam is of two slots. The first slot contains the common paper which includes English and general tests. The second slot exam includes the domain papers which we can opt for a maximum of 3 to 6. I have opted for 3 domain papers and English and general tests. I scored well in the papers. Every university took the general test into consideration for the cut-off. I scored well in the general test which is 160 marks. I applied for counselling on Every individual website of Central University. So I got into Central University of Karnataka as well as others. A few, but I opted cuk. The admission process is so good. I think this process is fine but the complexity of the counselling procedure should be taken into consideration and made it easy.
