Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU), established in 2011, is a government university in Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh. The varsity offers a total of 147 courses across 9 streams. The most popular courses offered by the varsity are B.Tech, B.Pharma, M.Tech, and MCA.
Admission to the B.Tech course is done on the basis of JEE Mains examination, while for B.Pharma, the selection is purely merit-based. HPTU Admissions 2024
Admissions for Himachal Pradesh Technical University are based on both academic performances 12th examinations as well as different common entrance tests required for the specific courses. The admission forms for the university are provided online.
- For B.Tech, admission is based on JEE Main and HPCET results whereas for B.Arch, admission is based on NATA score.
- Admissions to UG courses such as BCA, B.Pharm, B.Sc and BBA are based on academic performance in 12th.
- Admissions to M.Tech are based on GATE results while admissions to MBA are based on CAT/ CMAT results.
- For M Pharm, admissions are based on GPAT score whereas for M.Sc & MCA courses, admissions are merit based.

- Visit the online admission portal and register yourself by filling out the application after going through the instructions.
- Once the form is filled, a username and password will be generated.

- Submit the application form. After submission, the counseling date would be informed and the candidate must not fail to attend it.
- During admission the candidate should carry the required certificates like Mark sheets, Degree Certificates, National Level Entrance Examinations result sheet. Once all the formalities are completed during the admission, the selection letter will be issued.
