Master of Technology [M.Tech] (Communication Systems) From NIT Kurukshetra, Kurukshetra

NIT Kurukshetra offers M. Tech. in 8 Departments with 18 specializations. It is a Full Time course regular course with 2 Year duration for regular students and 1 Year duration for PG diploma holders in the relevant discipline.

M.Tech. is offered under the following departments-

• Civil Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Electronics & Communication
• Mechanical Engineering
• Physics
• Computer Engineering
• VLSI Design & Embedded Systems
• Energy and Efficiency

Note-The M. Tech. seats are first filled by GATE qualified candidates, then by industry sponsored candidates and if seats remain vacant, by other candidates. The non-GATE candidates are not eligible for scholarship.

NIT Kurukshetra M. Tech. Eligibility Criteria

• For M.Tech., Candidates who have secured at least 60% marks in B. Tech. are eligible to apply.
• Candidates will have to qualify the GATE Exam.
• Reservation of seats is done in accordance with the rules laid down by the Government of India.

NIT Kurukshetra M. Tech. Selection Criteria

• All GATE qualified candidates will have to appear for CCMT Counselling.
• Selection of candidates will be scrutinized on the basis of GATE score CCMT counselling and a list will be prepared accordingly.
• Cut off for each specialization will be decided by the central counselling board of CCMT.

How to Apply for an M.Tech Course?

• Register for the GATE exam through the Online Application form 
• Enter the login details in order to create a unique ID and password.
• Now fill the application form with the personal information such as name, date of birth, personal mobile number, parents’ name, parents’ mobile number, etc.
• Upload photograph, signature and other essentials documents as applicable in the form.
• Also, enter the GATE paper (subject) and choice of examination cities.
• After filling, pay the application fee of INR 1500/- (INR 750/- for female/SC/ST/OBC candidates)
• At last submit the form and take a printout of the duly filled application form for future admission procedure.
