How are the CSE placements in SVNIT Surat?

During the 2022 placement season, out of 106 registered B.Tech CSE students, 94 were successfully placed from the SVNIT campus. The highest package offered was 44 LPA, the average package was 15.22 LPA, and the minimum package was 5.56 LPA.

As for M.Tech CSE, 20 students were successfully placed during the placement drive. The highest package offered was 31 LPA, the average package was 15.88 LPA, and the lowest package was 7.50 LPA.

The top recruiters of SVNIT are- Adobe, Amazon, Samsung, JP Morgan, Infosys, Jio, GEP, Axis Bank, Deloitte, Godrej, Accenture, TCS, Airtel, Mathworks and Bigbasket, among others.

You need to consider several factors before deciding the best college for yourself. Here are a few factors and the preferred choice if you give preference to that factor alone

Alumni : The age of the institute determines how strong the alumni network is which is very crucial for the development of the institute. In terms of the alumni network the preference order should be NIT Jaipur=NIT Kurukshetra> NIT Delhi
Placements: The placement scenario is somewhat similar in all the aforementioned institutes. However, NIT Delhi has a slight advantage being in Delhi. The order should be NIT Delhi > NIT Jaipur = NIT Kurukshetra
Faculty: In my opinion, NIT Delhi has the best professors.
Campus : NIT Kurukshetra and NIT Jaipur have equally beautiful campuses whereas the permanent campus of NIT Delhi is under construction.

Ultimately, the final decision depends on your personal preferences.

Which should I prefer, SVNIT mechanical or IIIT Vadodara computer science?

If you are not looking at the branch, then you should think about going to SVNIT for Mechanical. Having friends study in both the institutes, I might be able to provide some details about them.

However, if you have decided that you would like to go for computers and if you could handle that field, IIIT Vadodara is a pretty good choice.

But many people will also advise you to not compare the two branches as they are quite different. NIT Surat is a better option facility wise but let me tell you that getting a job in the mechanical core is quite difficult. A lot of students will also opt for software fields.
