IGNOU CTPM admission 2024 for the January session has been started from December 15, 2023. The last date to apply is March 20, 2024. Interested candidates can apply online on the official website of IGNOU @ignou.ac.in. Admissions will be granted based on marks secured in the qualifying examination. Check IGNOU Admission 2024

IGNOU offers a Certificate in Certificate in Teaching of Primary School Mathematics (CTPM) program for a duration of 6 years. The maximum duration to complete the courses can be extended up to 2 years. Admissions to the program are done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination. IGNOU CTPM Assignments

Assignments constitute continuous evaluation. The marks that you secure in the assignments will be counted in your final result. As mentioned earlier, an assignment of a course carries 30% weightage. You are therefore advised to take your assignment seriously.

Non Submission of Assignment

The TMA for each semester can be downloaded from the Student Zone of the University website. You have to complete the assignment within the due dates specified in the assignment booklet. You will not be allowed to appear for the term-end examination for any course if you do not submit the assignment in time for that course. If you appear in the term-end examination, without submitting the assignments, the result of the term-end examination is liable to be canceled.

Ques. What does the course of Teaching of Primary School Mathematics cover?

Ans. This course covers detailed examples of ways of communicating certain mathematical concepts/ skills/ processes for the primary school syllabus to the children. They include ways of teaching concepts that adults usually find difficult to understand and those that children take longer to understand.

Ques. Will we be provided with Counsellors?

Ans. Counsellors will be available at the study centres as per the schedule made by the coordinator of the study centre. The counsellor will be there to facilitate students’ self-study, in case they face any problem. Counsellors won't be giving lectures.

Ques. What will be the medium for instruction during the duration of the program?

Ans. The University follows a multimedia approach for instructions. It consists of:
