The Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMMUT), established in 1974, is a government institute known for its excellent faculty and structured teaching methodology. It conducts the Malviya Entrance Test (MET), an offline objective exam with negative marking, attracting around 40,000 participants annually. The institute offers a range of courses with different fee structures: approximately 90,000 INR annually for B.Tech, 65,000 INR for MCA, 95,000 INR for MBA, and 75,000 INR for BBA, excluding hostel and mess charges.
The total cost for completing a B.Tech degree is under 5 lakh INR. Scholarships are available, including state government financial aid for students with annual parental incomes below 2 lakh INR, providing 60,000 to 80,000 INR annually. A Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS) is available for families earning below 6 lakh INR, and there are additional scholarships from alumni and NGOs. The UP government offers around 50,000 INR for General and OBC students and 90,000 INR for SC/ST students.
The institute has a robust placement record, with over 300 placements this year and a high of 52 LPA offered off-campus. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft, TCS, Wipro, and Infosys frequently recruit from the campus. The average placement package ranges from 5.85 to 10 LPA, with the average being around 7 LPA per annum. About 76-90% of students secure placements, with significant participation in internships. Five students received packages of 45 LPA from Amazon, and 6-7 students received offers above 30 LPA.
Students can participate in placements from the 6th semester. The university also encourages student entrepreneurship, with 10-20 startups initiated by students.
