BIT Mesra MSc Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for admission in the M.Sc program at BIT Mesra, the candidate must fulfill the following:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized university or institute with a minimum aggregate of 55% (50% for SC/ST).
- JAM/CUET 2024 qualified candidates. (Non-JAM/CUCET candidates are also eligible)
- Candidates of B.Sc. / B.A. Honors must have a minimum of 55% marks on average (50% for SC/ST) in their Honours subject.
- Candidates who are expecting to graduate by June 30, 2024, are also eligible.

BIT Mesra MSc Admission
Selection to the BIT Mesra MSc program is primarily based on JAM/CUET 2024 scores. The institute also gives admission to non-JAM/CUET applicants based on written tests conducted at the institute. However, BIT Mesra gives preference to candidates who apply with JAM/ CUET scores, and if seats are available, non-JAM/CUET applicants are selected for admission. The syllabus for the BIT Mesra MSc entrance exam is as of the JAM/CUET exam.

BIT Mesra MSc Course Details - Curriculum, Syllabus
BIT Mesra offers an M.Sc program in various specializations for two years. The course structure is based on the CBSE and OBE model. Each specialization includes respective core subjects and electives for both theory and laboratories. The third and fourth semesters also include research projects.
- A total of 80 credits are required in each specialization to get a degree in M.Sc
- In the final semester, students are required to work on a thesis/dissertation. This gives them exposure to solving real-life problems under the guidance of faculty members.
- Final-year students will be eligible to sit in the placement drive conducted by the institute.

BIT Mesra MSc Scholarship
BIT Mesra provides financial assistance to a few deserving students who are not availing of any scholarship. A scholarship of INR 6,500 per month is given for 10 months in the 3rd and 4th semesters of the program. To be eligible for the scholarship, the candidates must score 8.0 CGPA in the 1st and 2nd semesters without any backlog.
