- An integral part of the course is the opportunity for students to spend up to a year in Italy, studying at a partner institution, undertaking a work placement or working as a British Council language teaching assistant.
- This enables them to immerse in the culture and greatly improve the knowledge of Italian at the same time.
- The core language module in the second year will prepare for the time abroad, equipping them with the skills and knowledge required to work and live in a different culture.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants must have a BBB, including grade B in A level History, Medieval History, Ancient History, or Classical Civilisation.

Beginner's Italian: No previous language qualifications are required.
Intermediate Italian: GCSE Italian at grade A (7) or AS level Italian at grade B.
Advanced Italian: A level Italian at grade B.
Indian Students Eligibility:
- Applicants must have passed 12th grade from recognised institution.
- Applicants must have a grade B in A level History, Medieval History, Ancient History, or Classical Civilisation.
