In choosing to study this Mathematics and Education degree you'll cover a broad spectrum of childhood development activities that include the sociological, psychological and educational facets that influence the development of children. Additionally you'll cover the fundamental syllabus of a broad-ranging degree in Mathematics. This joint honours BSc in Mathematics and Education will expose you to the world of advanced mathematics, whilst equipping you with the vocational skills required to communicate your subject to a variety of audiences. This course is perfect for aspiring teachers, tutors and lecturers with a particular interest in Mathematics.
You will find this to be a varied and stimulating course with a strong vocational outcome. You can also tailor your learning to suit your interests, opting for modules from both subject areas. Your choices may range from applied statistics to hydrodynamics and from bilingual education to children's rights.

A degree in Mathematics and Education will be of great use to you in a range of graduate jobs, particularly in schools and colleges. Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- A-Levels: BBB-CCC, plus satisfactory portfolio
- GCSE requirements (minimum grade C/4): English or Welsh
- BTEC National Diploma: DDM-MMM, plus satisfactory portfolio
- International Baccalaureate: 30-28, plus satisfactory portfolio
Indian Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Standard XII Certificate from recognized central or state board:75 % in year XII Std.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
