All about IIITDWD

Remarks :

To get into IIITDWD, one without a reservation needs to clear jee mains with a minimum percentile of 94. For cse branch percentile is 95. U get to choose through Jossa counseling. Once you are allotted the college, you get to report online through which the admission process is completed. Further instructions will be given by the college on the date of reporting at college all.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose cse. There is no science behind it. It is obvious that one chooses cse over other branches. The faculty-student ratio isn't good in our college (1:50). Teaching methods include teaching through PPTs and assignments. As our college has relative grading it is easier to pass but difficult to get grades.

Internships Opportunities :

Internships are provided to 3rd years and I'm in my 3rd semester so what I heard from seniors is internships can be cracked with good practical knowledge of coding and it must be practiced from 1st semester itself.

Placement Experience :

Students in 4th year are eligible for campus placements. Here our college does not have good placements and the companies that visit are also not that great. Students are often stressed about it because of poor management from the placement cell. Our college website says 90 percent of students are placed but reality says otherwise. I plan to go abroad just like every other Indian.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees are quite high when compared with other colleges and many scholarships are provided to students based on their background and which state they belong to. Management shares the scholarship link along with eligibility criteria to students through mail through which we have to apply.

Campus Life :

Our annual fest is named Habba. Comparing it with other universities and colleges will make you cry or even guilty about joining this college. The library is not that big. The library is just a small space where collective books are placed with no seating arrangement. When it comes to clubs, most of them are not active at all. They are not fun either to me.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as I was interested in game development and I wanted to learn coding. All the teaching faculty in the college have PhD degree in their respective subjects. Teaching method can be improved as they just read pdf rather than make the class interesting. Term exams take place every two months and there are only two term exams which are mid sem and end sem. Difficulty of exams is moderate.

In the 6th, 7th and 8th sem students can able to attend the campus placement. So many companies will be visiting for campus placement. Around 50-100 companies will be visiting every year. 85% of the students will be getting placements. My plan after getting a degree is to work in an MNC company as a web developer.
