Kirori Mal College A dream come true

Remarks :

The eligibility of the course was a minimum 55% aggregate in 10+2 examinations. The admissions during my time were done through cut-offs released by the University of Delhi now it has been put under the strata of the CUET UG entrance exam conducted by NTA. The cutoff during my admission in the second round was 96.25 hence I got in. The process was rather easy as the entire process was online including the document verification, it was easier than it was during the covid 19 pandemic.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I was interested in economics but hons. course required maths in 10+2, thus I had to go for a prog course, the faculty at KMC consists of esteemed scholars and academicians who take a rather mentor approach in their classes, our course had a big batch of students but as the core subjects were varied the student-teacher ratio was usually 50:1. Most of the faculty have a Ph.D. from esteemed universities or have cleared Net JRF. The Exams were on a semester basis with class tests and assignments on teachers' mandate. The exams were relatively easy as we had 4 papers each semester and as prog disciplines were not too academic or deep.

Placement Experience :

The students become eligible for placements from the 5th semester, the campus is visited by major companies, companies visiting for placement include Accenture, mother dairy, Deloitte, cars24, bank of America, and Urban Company among 100+ companies with an average package of 6-8 LPA, the highest being 20L, every year from the economics hons. course 70-80% of students get placed, I am pursuing LLB after graduation and want to pursue a career in law and thus did not sit for the placements, placements are further aggregated by Avenues the placement cell which is the oldest placement cell in UoD.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees hike policy is done under the jurisdiction and dictates of the university, and since it is a public institution providing incentivized education fee hikes are seldom in nature, and thus the cost to study is within the means of an average Indian household.

Campus Life :

The annual fest and freshers are conducted every year with major celebrities attending the events, the KMC Ns Pradhan Memorial library is newly renovated and has a wide range of books and journals with plenty of reading spaces, and the classrooms have working ventilation and projectors with few of them having working AC units, The sports activities on the campus is vibrant with football cricket table tennis badminton volleyball Boxing basketball and the campus consists of more than 40 societies such as Kartavya the Civil services society, sensation, Players, NCC, NSS, DEBSOC, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have a keen interest in Political Science and therefore I opted for Political Science Honours The faculty of our college are well experienced and have a teaching experience of over 20 years, the student-teacher ratio is around 70:1 Most of the faculty members have graduated from the University of Delhi. The examinations are generally conducted every 3-4 months and in terms of difficulty, the questions are generally set in a manner that if a student has a basic knowledge about the topic he/she can easily write about it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I want to do preparation for SAC or upsc and this course will help me with that. The faculty is quite good and they are always ready to help the students. The student ratio in this is quite large and the class for this course is filled. faculties are very highly qualified they know the way of teaching and everything. They teach very well. If we get any doubts they clear without asking questions and all. It's my first year and I haven't taken any exams yet we have 6 semesters and we have to take exams 6 times. I think it will be a little hard to pass.
