Remarks :
When I applied for the Course the admissions in the college were on a Merit basis the cutoff at which I took the admission was 85%. The applications and other details regarding the admission are available on the website of du is du.ac.in. I have taken the admission under the EWS quota and for EWS there was a 10% reservation. Till now the admission process has been improved so far as they have introduced an entrance exam for taking admissions which is known as CUET.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course which I opted for is Bachelor of Commerce (Honours). I have chosen this course because I have a good interest in the Commerce field. Bcom(Hons) is a good course for those who want to study further in the field of Commerce and has a lot of benefits as it has a good value in the field of Commerce. I have 50 students in my class and I have 1 teacher for each paper(subject). The faculty members in the college are so experienced and most of the faculty members in the commerce department hold a PhD. The exams are taken around every 5 months and if you study even 2 hours a day you are studying more than enough to score a decent score in exams.
Internships Opportunities :
The internships are offered by various companies like Sony, Metvy, Travclan, Byjus, planetspark, etc. The job roles offered are business development, Sales, Telecalling, Finance, Human resources, Teaching, etc. These internships will help you to grow in various fields and also get an idea about the work in companies.
Placement Experience :
In the Final year of the degree, you become eligible for sitting into the placements. The company also starts coming into the college after this period. Although there are no fixed criteria of CGPA for every company You may have to maintain at least a CGPA 7 to be able to sit in all the placements. After getting my degree I am planning to do a job and grow in the corporate field.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees were one of the lowest in comparison to the other colleges for the same courses. The fee for Bcom Hons is just 8,500 which is one of the lowest fees you may find anywhere in Delhi University colleges and even other Universities.
Campus Life :
There are lots of fests and events have been organized by the various societies. Mainly the fests conducted from the month of January to March and the annual fest of the college have also been conducted during this period. The Library was very good and you may find every book related to your course. The classrooms are although not so good, have old benches and old classrooms but it's fine according to the fees.
