How good is IIIT RANCHI

Remarks :

My admission was through Jee Mains. You need a percentile of above 90 to get into this college if u have reservations and 95 to 97 percentile for general and obc candidates. So just apply for jee mains and score the above-mentioned percentile.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum is not at all hectic you mostly have time to study and develop new skills. There are subjects like electronics, electrical technology, computer programming, maths, etc. All the faculty members have Ph. D.s in their field and all are from IIT and NITs.They are very approachable and supportive.

Internships Opportunities :

You have many internship offers in 3rd year. But for that, you have to be technically sound. So improve your skills by 3rd year. Follow the technical society guidelines. And ask a professor for projects.

Placement Experience :

Placements here are pretty good. You will become eligible after 3rd year 2nd sem. Both Cs and core companies visit the college. Most students get Placement offers in 4th year about 89 percent of students get placed.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

So the fees depend on the year and it varies for every batch.for me it's 1.65L for sem . Every year there is a hike of 10k approximately. There are many opportunities for scholarships of their respective states and there are some private scholarships as well. Currently, there are no campus jobs for students.

Campus Life :

We don't have a permanent campus yet. It's expected to be built by 2025. So currently campus life is a bit limited. But still, we have many clubs like House of Geeks (technical society), Rangbaaz(drama), Saaz (singing and music), lit(literature) etc, and many more clubs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Electrical engineering being a circuital branch has a wide range of possibilities ahead. It can also be considered as evergreen branch whose demand is atleast not going to end soon. Faculty here are PhD professionals but some might not like the teaching methodologies as it is quite different from the regular schooling/coaching methodologies. Term exams are strictly followed and on basis of regular intervals to check learning process. It is pretty easy to pass the exams if someone only pays attention in class or refer to notes by professors.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The faculty are here so much more friendly. Some of them try to act like a professor but they are not. Some of the professors are very good and even they take the time to solve our doubts in their cabin. They support students in every aspect. They are good in every aspect. We have two teachers for physics and one for CSE.
