At my college, students generally become eligible for campus placements from the seventh semester of their course. We had a wide range of companies visiting the campus, including industry leaders. In the last placement season, our college witnessed a substantial number of offers, with 90% of students securing jobs. The highest package offered was around 36 lakhs per annum, while the average package ranged from 16 lakhs per annum. I was fortunate to receive the swami dayanand scholarship during my time at IIT KGP, which significantly eased the financial burden.
