Remarks :
I applied online and filled out a registration form, the payment was also easy. I applied for the course and immediately got a verification email. After a day I received further information about self-registration and a step-by-step process on how to do it. Overall the registration process and payment process was easy, but it was just difficult to find the registrations in the first place. But overall it was a positive experience because every time that I was confused about a step, I would send an email to the admissions department and get an easy answer. The phone lines are also easy to access and they pick up the phone quickly.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose BA English Honors because it was the course that was the most beneficial for me in terms of career path. There are a total of 36 students in my class, and the professors are genuinely helpful. Most of the faculty have PhDs, and all of them have a Masters level of education. The classes tend to be a good mixture of teaching and discussion. Students are encouraged to participate proactively in these discussions. Assignments are given in such a way that they aid towards preparation for exams, so the examinations end up being not too difficult but still stimulating.
Internships Opportunities :
I have not done any internships yet, so I cannot accurately answer the question. The rating below is an average rating, so please do not take my word for it because I do not have any experience with internship placements.
Placement Experience :
The placements cell offers jobs as well as internships. Unfortunately, I am not privy to a lot of information because I am only in 2nd year right now. Each course will have different packages offered to the students. After getting the degree I am actually planning to get a Masters's degree and Phd myself.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees are pretty much standard according to private college tuition. The facilities and campus are prepped accordingly, as each classroom has a smartboard and is well-supplied. The fees for exams are paid separately. I do not have much information on scholarships and financial aid, but you can get scholarships if you have more than 90-92%, but it may vary from course to course.
Campus Life :
There are always fests, events and conferences that happen at MIT. We have MIT MUN, Aarambh, RIDE, Psychometricia, and hundreds of other events. There are many cultural clubs and sports clubs that are open to join. MIT students are encouraged and supported by faculty to conduct these club events. Many of these clubs are run by students, and they are very successful in terms of participation and reputation.
