Beautiful Una IIITU

Remarks :

The admission process was a little bit hectic because too many candidates came at the same time. To become eligible for this course first I had to clear jee mains exam conducted by NTA. According to Jee Main rank, this is the best option for me. The application form for jee mains can be found on www.nta.ac.in. There is a reversation system in jee mains in most of the nits half seats are reserved for the home state students and a good fraction of seats are reserved for female candidates. But in iiit una, there is no reservation for home state and girl candidate. Yes admission process here can be improved by dividing the process according to respective branches as cse, it and ece.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum here is very good as it is designed very carefully about what students need for overall development and what is needed at the time of internships or placements. Faculty-student ratio is 1:15 which is very good. As the ratio is high student and teacher interaction becomes more easy. Faculty here are PhD degree holders from very esteemed Universities like IIT Bombay, PUNJAB UNIVERSITY etc. The teaching method is very good as the latest technology is used with the old chalkboard method. In a semester there are two cycle tests and two unit tests after these end semesters are held. If a student is regular in studies then there is no difficulty in passing exams with good grades.

Internships Opportunities :

Companies like Google, Microsoft Amazon Tcs, and TATA come here for placement and internships in the college Internships are mandatory in our college in the 6th semester Projects like electric bicycle, robots are happening here

Placement Experience :

Students are eligible for placement after the 8th semester and internships are available after the 6th semester. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Tcs come here for placement and internships Average placements are 15 lacs per annum and the highest package is 60 lacs off campus About 96 per cent of the students got placed I am going to do an M-tech

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure here is a little bit high. Fees of course are higher then nits and iits and most of the iiit's also. There is no scholarship here and there are no jobs on campus for students but we can apply for government-provided scholarships.

Campus Life :

Life on here campus is good. There is good interaction between freshers and seniors. Our annual fest mridang and tech fest is Meraki and these are conducted in September and October every year. The library here has a good amount of books and a broad amount of authors. Classrooms are of normal size and all essential is there in every classroom like projector, ac, boards, computer etc. Sports facilities are good here and every year annual sports are held called yalgaar which is very exciting and rewards are also given to students. Here there are very social groups as on insta iiitumeme and there are 5clubs and each has social media accounts which are run by students. The infrastructure of the college is very good and it is very advanced compared to any college or any IIT

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel are very good according to infrastructure. There are three beds and three almirah 2 fans and 2 tube lights and 3 tables with chair are given for three roommates. Meal quality is also fairly good and there are different menu for all day Registration for hostel is done with the admission process for college program No need to rent a room.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have a keen interest in computer programming so I chose this course in this college instead of other NITs. Here the faculty-student ratio id pretty good It's approximately 15:1. All the Faculty are PHD holders. They are young and have a passion for teaching. There are 2 CT exams which constitute the mid sem and one end sem also occurs. You have to study daily. There is regular assignment and projects given to students

Students get eligible for placements in 3rd year itself. The companies visited are Amazon, fantaclaus, etc. The highest package last year was 50 lakhs (off campus) by Amazon and the mean package was 6.5 lpa. 289 students have been placed in the last 5 years which makes 86%. My plan after getting the degree is to obviously get placed in a good company with a good package.
