Review IIIT UNA

Remarks :

If anyone wants to come here, he/she will have to appear in JEE mains exam. If anyone belongs to OBC / SC/ST, they will get admission here at the low percentile as compared to General students. There is no scholarship provided by the college for any student.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I have chosen this course because I am interested in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine learning. Faculty to student ratio is 1:15 The faculty are well qualified. They are more focused on practical than theoretical. Semester exam happens timely. The paper of the term exam is not so difficult.

Internships Opportunities :

We have an internship opportunity in the 6th semester. Few people got internships on campus. Mostly got internships through applying on Linkedin, Internshala etc. There are few companies visiting our campus to provide internships.

Placement Experience :

From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placement. There are many companies visited every year such as Amazon, Flipkart, Microsoft, Oracle etc. On campus, the highest package offered was 46.50 lacs per annum. The average package was 12 lacs per annum of the CSE branch.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee is high as compared to NIT. There is a Scholarship provided by the State Government, the Central Government and some private institutions. But there is no scholarship provided by the college to any student.

Campus Life :

Sports fest name- Yaalgar. Tech fest name- Meraki. Cultural fest name - Mridang. All fests happen in September. All text books from the 1st semester to the 8th semester are available. And books on competitive exams like CAT, GATE etc are also available. There is a cricket ground, football ground, lawn tennis court, basket ball court, volleyball court, and badminton court on the college campus. There are 4 clubs here: 1. Force is for coding etc 2. Aavesh is related to electronics 3. Epmoc is event managing club 4. aNd Eunoia is a literature club

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have a keen interest in computer programming so I chose this course in this college instead of other NITs. Here the faculty-student ratio id pretty good It's approximately 15:1. All the Faculty are PHD holders. They are young and have a passion for teaching. There are 2 CT exams which constitute the mid sem and one end sem also occurs. You have to study daily. There is regular assignment and projects given to students

The highest package in 60 lacks and the average package in 15 lacks in the 22-23 sessions. Almost 90+% students of placement offers. My plan after my degree is to opt for IT jobs.

Students get eligible for placements in 3rd year itself. The companies visited are Amazon, fantaclaus, etc. The highest package last year was 50 lakhs (off campus) by Amazon and the mean package was 6.5 lpa. 289 students have been placed in the last 5 years which makes 86%. My plan after getting the degree is to obviously get placed in a good company with a good package.

There is an internship semester in our college dedicated to internships where students have to do 5 months of internship (compulsory) to get their hands on on fieldwork and learn from industry experts. Amazon, Deloitte and many big companies like these visit our college during the placement drive The average package of all the branches combined was 15 LPA which is quite good and is expected to improve further in the coming years. Almost 90+ per cent of students get placed.
