Nitk

Remarks :

The admission process is simple. You just have to do good in JEE MAINS. And then by josaa counselling, you can get admission. You can also get admission through the CSAB SPECIAL round. For physical reporting at the institute, you have to be very patient as it was a hectic day. Reservation is as per the government norms. You need 2 or 3 percentile less than GEN Category student. The admission process is smooth and there is no need for any improvement.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose the course because I like to learn about electrics and am very much interested in learning it. Faculty to student ratio is good enough. Most of the faculties hold Ph.D. and many teachers are indulged in research and their teaching method is just awesome except for a few. Exams are almost monthly because you have to give quizzes for each subject.

Internships Opportunities :

A lot of internships are provided. A recent internship was from SERB with a stipend of 5000. But you should have a cgpa of 7.5+ for the internship. Also, a research internship was from NITK with a stipend of 5000. These are the basic level internships.

Placement Experience :

At the start of the 7th semester. You can apply for the placements. Many prestigious companies like Adobe, Infosys, Microsoft, and Texas come to the college and offer a huge number. Microsoft gives the package of around 60 LPA wand Texas gives about 50 LPA and many more. The highest was 57 LPA. In the IT Branch, 99.8% of placement. In CSE Branch, 98%, In ECE, 95%, IN EEE, 93%. I am in the EEE Branch, I am preparing for the gate Hopefully if I get selected at the gate I will go for it.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

For Gen candidate students, the total 4-year fee will be 8-9 Lakhs. For SC category students, a scholarship is provided for tuition fees (full exemption). Also, the scholarship is provided on an income basis. There are a lot of scholarships for girls and specially-abled persons

Campus Life :

INCIDENT is the annual cultural fest and ENGINEER is the annual tech fest. Incident is conducted in the month of March Engineer is conducted in the month of October. Almost all the books are available in the library. Classrooms are well-equipped with projectors, fans and tube lights. Sports facilities and extracurricular activities on the campus are damn good.

Hostel Facilities :

For the first years, triple-sharing rooms are given. Rooms have a fan, three beds, charging, and a lan port. The size of the room is okay. Meal quality is just a mess. You should not expect the quality to be very good. However, it depends on the mess. The menu is diversified.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as I was interested in game development and I wanted to learn coding. All the teaching faculty in the college have PhD degree in their respective subjects. Teaching method can be improved as they just read pdf rather than make the class interesting. Term exams take place every two months and there are only two term exams which are mid sem and end sem. Difficulty of exams is moderate.
