Remarks :

The Eligibility of Couse is to pass the Boards Exam with a minimum benchmark of 50% in aggregate. Then you have to Qualify for the NEET UG Examination with a minimum score of 50 percentile. The Safe Course to get any Govt MBBS seats in West Bengal is 620 or above with a minimum All India Rank of 28000. Course Curriculum Overview :

I have chosen the Dream MBBS Stream because it's my childhood dream to become a good Doctor and do betterment for the society, and to serve the poor. At RG Kar Medical College, highly Qualified and highly experienced Faculty members are present for all 19 subjects in MBBS where approximately 1:10 ratio of teachers and Students. In MBBS for the whole span of 4.5 years, 9 Semesters are given and 4 University Exams have to be given. Fortnightly, Part Competion Tests PCTs are also held, where we can understand our weak areas and consult with Faculty members, to clear doubts with ease and to excel in University Exams. Faculty members are extremely helpful in clearing our doubts.

Placement Experience :

After Clearing the Internship, anyone can apply for further studies like preparation for NEET PG/ NEXT, USMLE, and FMGE for higher studies, or can apply to different clinics hospitals, set up a chamber etc. in Future, if possible, I want to become a either a Gynecologist or a good Pediatrician.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee Structure for Govt Colleges in West Bengal is extremely nominal with a semester fee of 4500 only which is quite affordable for even a student of lower-middle-class background. Different types of Scholarships can be availed by a student like SVMCM, WBSCC etc. After completing 4.5 years of course, we get an internship for one year covering medical treatment guidance under the supervision of senior doctors and house staff and also govt grants a handsome monthly stipend.

Campus Life :

At RG Kar Medical College, Annual Academic Fest, Therapeuo And Annual Cultural Fest, Lobelia is held in the months of August-September. Lobelia or Khalpar er Durgotsav, is one of the Biggest Fest in North Eastern India which renowned artists from across the globe are invited. We have the Central Library, with a huge collection of world-famous books and Journals, Library is Fully Centralized AC with a different section of UG and Intern studying Area and also a different area for the Faculty Members. Classrooms are well organised with 2 Projectors in Each room and having a large Lecture Theatre where from the last bench we can properly understand all things. All different types of Sports and Extra curricular activities are held in years where everyone can perform.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was very mesmerized by the doctors who were working day and night for mankind and saving people day and night with their hard work and dedication. I wanted to be like them and wanted to make my parents proud. The ratio of faculty to students is 1:20 The faculty are very good and helpful they always come forward to help us and teach us in a very simple way which is very easy to understand. The term exams occur at an interval of 6 months and it is quite difficult to pass.

I chose the MBBS course as I wanted to be a doctor and I have to do this course to be one. our total no. Of students is 250 and our student-to-faculty ratio is close to 30:1. The faculty members are really experienced in their own respective fields. The professional exams and semesters are a little difficult but you can pass easily by studying consistently for 3-4 hours a day. In the 5 years of MBBS, you will have 4 professional exams at the end of the year and 9 semesters.
