My perspective of R.G. Kar

Remarks :

The eligibility of the course was to be passed Class 10th+12th in PCB and must have completed 17 years as of December to clear the cutoff. We can get an application form, application fees, and application dates, and other details from the website neet.nta.in. Details of reservation benefits are, for Gen/EWS- 50% SC/ST/OBC- 40% PWD- 40% The admission process was smooth. No improvement needed.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose MBBS because it is my dream to become a cardiologist from the very start. The faculty: student ratio in our college is balanced ie. 1:10. Faculties are very cooperative and they make sure every student gets the maximum opportunity in terms of academics as well as other extra- curriculum. The faculties in our college are qualified from the best colleges. They are highly qualified and provide us with the same opportunity as well. Their teaching method is unique which helps us grasp things more easily and accurately. We have semester exams before the final MB with a proper time gap between these exams. With the efforts of the top-notch faculties, it is relatively easy to pass the exam.

Internships Opportunities :

There are 19 departments in our college which provide a 1-month internship in each department. The outcome of this internship is that we get much more experience in our field which can help us in our future studies too.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure of our college is 9k/year which is compared to other colleges very minimum. The students do not get the burden of paying high prices to study. Our college also provides the students with scholarships who apply for it and are eligible to get the scholarship. The stipend is given during the internship and everyone gets the opportunity for the internship, so basically the students do not have to worry to not getting an internship in R.G. Kar Medical College and Hospital.

Campus Life :

Lobelia is the biggest fest of Eastern India conducted by our college annually in the month of September with a footfall of 25k and more every year. Of all the medical colleges in West Bengal, R.G. Kar Medical College and Hospital has the biggest library with a perfectly built showpiece of Radha Govind Kar's chair in the library. Many textbooks and journals are available in the library which helps the students a lot. Our college's classrooms are perfectly designed with many lecture theatres and many more amenities like air conditioner, proper ventilation, perfect lights, 2 smart boards and a green board in each lecture theatre, comfortable chairs and benches and many more. Every year we have a tournament for the boys and the girls which conducts cricket and soccer. Other than this Lobelia organizes 100+ events with a lot of sports and extracurricular activities on the campus itself. Lobelia Organising Committee is a group of 400+ members in run by the students themselves.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was very mesmerized by the doctors who were working day and night for mankind and saving people day and night with their hard work and dedication. I wanted to be like them and wanted to make my parents proud. The ratio of faculty to students is 1:20 The faculty are very good and helpful they always come forward to help us and teach us in a very simple way which is very easy to understand. The term exams occur at an interval of 6 months and it is quite difficult to pass.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the MBBS course as I wanted to be a doctor and I have to do this course to be one. our total no. Of students is 250 and our student-to-faculty ratio is close to 30:1. The faculty members are really experienced in their own respective fields. The professional exams and semesters are a little difficult but you can pass easily by studying consistently for 3-4 hours a day. In the 5 years of MBBS, you will have 4 professional exams at the end of the year and 9 semesters.
