To my second home

Remarks :

I took the Neet-ug entrance exam. One can apply for the exam after passing their 12th board examination with Biology, Physics and Chemistry. All the needed information can be found on the official website of NTA (National Testing Agency). The admission process was very smooth and we were helped by the seniors regarding all document-related issues.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose the profession because of how noble it is and how it comes with social stability. The whole batch is divided into groups and all groups are taught separately by our faculties. We have nearly 1 teacher for every 10-20 students who are all very highly qualified respectable doctors. The term exams of our 1st year were a bit irregular due to COVID conditions. However, we had regular online classes and assignments. It felt difficult to pass sometimes due to the huge syllabus but the teachers seniors and friends were always ready to help.

Internships Opportunities :

In our internship, we get to face patients and learn all the basic things a doctor must know including teamwork, coordination, professionalism, and empathy. We work at our own hospital as well as Bagbazar, Aamdanga and Beleghata ID. It's at the end of internships that we become capable doctors ready to serve the world.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees have been 4500 per semester from the beginning which is just 750 a month compared to the amount of knowledge we receive here, especially in a government hospital setup. We will also be getting a chance to do our internships in the same hospital and gain real work experience.

Campus Life :

We're very fond of our college fest Lobelia and medifest Therapeuo which are usually held in late August- September. The library has all the books and journals for reference. We have classrooms for different clinical, lecture and practical classes. The sports opportunities have been amazing. I personally have been a part of the college cricket team and have great memories. We also have other groups like the magazine club, literary club, dance clubs, singing clubs and various events like our freshers' event Metamorfosis, the annual reunion, Khalpar Cricket, and football leagues.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the MBBS course as I wanted to be a doctor and I have to do this course to be one. our total no. Of students is 250 and our student-to-faculty ratio is close to 30:1. The faculty members are really experienced in their own respective fields. The professional exams and semesters are a little difficult but you can pass easily by studying consistently for 3-4 hours a day. In the 5 years of MBBS, you will have 4 professional exams at the end of the year and 9 semesters.
