BCKV:The second home.

Remarks :

Eligibility for the courses is 60%(For SC/ST 50%) in 10+2 examination .One can take addmission on the basis on marks obtained in Higher secondary (10+2) examination. One can find the application form and addmission related details information in bckv.edu.in website. One can also take addmission through CUET UG examination.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose B.Sc Agriculture because I have interest on Agriculture from my Childhood. The faculty:Student ratio is generally 1:22.The professors ar highly educated, Friendly and teaching skills is very good. Many of them are completed their PhD from top universities of India as well as World. There are 3 examination for each semester (10-12 courses are there)-- Mid term(20 marks), Practical (30),End term(50).The examination is moderate not so hard or easy.

Placement Experience :

From 8 semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Syngenta, Flipkart, Pradan make offers in various sector of agriculture. But percentage of UG students of getting placements is very low. Many students go for higher studies. My plan also go fro Higher study.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees for UG students is RS.10300 per semester from 2022. Previous fee id RS. 6775/sem. So there is slightly rise in fees. But the facilities are same like previous year. And there is a only opportunity of Scholarship is SVMCM.

Campus Life :

The Freshers welcome 'Nabarun' happens every year in December month and the annual fest 'NAIHRIT' happens in the month of January. These are conducted by Student's Union with the help of Authority. The Central library of our university is the best in Eastern India. Lots of books and journals of various subjects are available in the library. Classroom are very good with AC, Fan, Smart tv, Whiteboard, Blackboard etc. Sports and extracurricular activities are also happened every year with active cooperation of our DSW. There is a student's union in our University.

Hostel Facilities :

The rooms have accomodated for 3 students in each room. For each student, there is one table, one chair, one bed and one rack. The meal quality is very good and menu is changed in every week. Registration process for hostel is done at the time of application. In one word,Hostel is good. One can rent room outside also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am pursuing a Bsc. Agriculture as I came to know about the job opportunities associated with it. Faculty: The student ratio is poor because of a lack of recruitment in this sector for a long time. Quality of teaching is average because there are a limited number of teachers who could inculcate our interest in this subject through their good teaching methods. Others were just presenting slides and reading out the lines written on them. Random announcement of exams was frequent with only 40 percent syllabus completed in 3 months and 60 percent syllabus completed only 10 days before the exam. Moreover, there were midterm, endterm, and viva throughout 1 month and it was very hectic due to continuous 33 exam papers conducted at a time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

India is an agriculture-dependent country where more than 70% of the people are involved in agriculture and allied sectors, there is a huge scope for improvement and modernization. The faculty and profs are very helpful, no extra tuition is needed, library is available. Exams are not that punctual but moderately easy to pass.

From the 7th semester, students become eligible for the campus Placements. Various Seed Companies Fertilizers companies and many other private companies are visited and various offers are made. The highest Package was 720000 per annum and the average package was 480000 per annum. About 30 to 40 percent of students are getting placements. My plan is to take a placement offered by the Company.
