Should I join IIM Indore or SJMSOM?

My cousin recently graduated from SJMSOM and has begun working at Fidelity Investments as a Delivery Manager for almost 3 years now. He suggests going for SJMSOM only if,

You essentially prefer studying amidst a comparably smaller batch size.
You further want to be at the Financial Capital, for either internships or job purposes.
You prefer going for the best infrastructure and basic amenities.
You can enjoy the brand value likewise.

You can opt for IIM Indore only if you prefer the following,

You are confident that you can compete and stand out with a larger batch.
You will receive the major brand value that comes along with IIMs.
You want to secure a seat at one of the best management institutes.
However, the placements of either institute are somewhat similar, with relevant recruiters visiting both campuses occasionally during placement seasons.
Both the institutes offer exchange opportunities as per schedule.

Here is a brief overview of both SJMSOM and IIM Indore.

IIM Indore is the Indian Institute of Management, Indore, and SJMSOM is Shailesh J Mehta School Of Management, IIT Bombay. Here are some of the factors which can help to compare the two institutions:

IIM Indore, though a premier institute, isn't as famous as SJMSOM, as the IIT tag is associated with the latter. This won't matter much but, IITs have a very decent reputation overseas.
The batch size in IIM Indore is more as compared to SJMSOM. This naturally increases the competition. Also, this is a bonus point in the aspect of learning, as one can interact with more number of bright minds from different cultures.
The curriculum is more rigorous in IIMs as compared to IITs. One needs to be on toes to manage academics efficiently. Despite that, many IIM students do manage time very efficiently.
SJMSOM is in an IIT campus; this enables students to be very associated with technology; they also have an opportunity to be a part of the various fests and meets organized at IIT Bombay. That said, IIM Indore has a vast campus, and many lively fests are organized by it.
If one prefers to be in Financial Capital after completing their respective courses, SJMSOM will be a better choice for him.
IIM Indore is located in Indore, whereas SJMSOM is in Mumbai. Naturally, the recruiter will prefer Mumbai for their placement drives. But this is not the case with most of the recruiters.

Other than the above, there is no significant difference between the two institutes. They both are considered to be the premium institutes in the field of management
