JBIMS Mumbai is better, especially for Finance specialization. It offers a better ROI compared to IIM Indore. The course fees are around INR 6.05 Lakhs. While the average CTC offered is around INR 27.63 LPA according to JBIMS placements 2022. EY, PwC, Deloitte, Accenture, etc. were some of the major recruiters that took part in the placement drive.

The institute has an excellent alumni base, the networking opportunities are ample.

Both of these are top-level B-Schools, for which every student has a desire to join. So, the following facts are somewhat important to understand which institute is a better one to be studied.

Placements

Both of these institutes are the perfect place for getting a handsome placement with an attractive CTC. The following table gives an overview of the placement fact of these two institutes.

Criteria

IIM Indore

JBIMS

Highest CTC

56.8 LPA

40 LPA

Average CTC

Batch size and Quality

  • IIM Indore: IIM Indore has a huge batch size, with approximately 450 students, 120 students, 30 students in PGP course, IPM course, and new PGD HRM course, respectively. Besides, 100-120 students from the Mumbai campus come and sit in the placement that makes a giant batch size with nearly 700+ students in total.
  • JBIMS: It has approximately 120 students in every batch, with only 14% fresher students. Most of the students are mostly from Maharashtra, as it has only 18-20 seats for the students outside of Maharashtra.

Campus life and Infrastructure

  • IIM Indore: The campus is quite ultra-modern, and the student will get everything here. However, Planet-I will not disappoint the student considering the college’s infrastructure, classrooms, and hostel rooms.
  • JBIMS: Infrastructure is not so good as IIM Indore. Recently, news has been spread that some institute alumni are giving money to perk up the campus.

Process of Admission

  • IIM Indore considers 76% weightage in board exam marks (10th and 12th), whereas it calls students for WAT PI, with only 20% weightage in CAT score. If students have a superb score in their previous board exams, they can get a call with 93-94 percentiles. But if they have poor academic records, then 99.9% scores in CAT will not work.
  • JBIMS generally takes students based on MH CET. But the students from outside Maharashtra can also apply through their GMAT and CAT scores. The thing to be noted that the cut-off marks for the students outside of Maharashtra are generally 99.99%, which is quite huge.

Fees

  • Students have to pay approximately 6 Lakhs for the MMS course if they want to study in JBIMS.
  • While this same course costs around 16 Lakhs in IIM Indore.

If a student wants the best campus life and IIM tag and diversity but does not have a brilliant score like 99.99%, they must go for IIM Indore.

Besides, if students want to study in comparative lower fees, connect with alumni network largely, and specialize in Finance, then JBIMS is better to study.
