Why don't AIIMS Bhubaneswar hostels provide single seated rooms yet all the AIIMS do so?

Only freshers are not allotted single seater rooms at AIIMS Bhubaneswar. The rest of the students are allotted single rooms.

The authorities are somewhat right in allotting shared rooms to first year students. To be away from home for the first time can be very emotionally draining for many students. In such circumstances, having someone around helps them feel connected and happy. Other than that, sharing a room with someone from a different cultural background helps in making them broad-minded and accepting of others’ values. They have someone by their side in a new environment, which is another important benefit of shared rooms.

Thus, not allotting single seater rooms to freshers is a good decision made by the AIIMS Bhubaneswar authorities.

According to my friends studying at AIIMS Bhubaneswar, it is good to have sharing rooms. They justify it by saying, that for many students shifting for the first time away from your home, so it is better to have a companion 24*7 to talk.

You get to know their culture, food, etiquettes, etc. You will feel secure because knowing someone is by your side all the time.
